Ohms not reading correctly on CBOT Lite

    Hey Y'all,

I've got this boro mod (second hand) that i equipped a Ether V2 RBA with that's always reading the ohms around 0.2 higher.

Eg. it will read at 0.35 on the ohm tab and 0.55 when firing it. Sometimes the ohms will jump to 1.0 but whenever it is firing it will go back to 0.55

To my knowledge this mod uses the Dani Extreme V3 Chip by Dicodes.

I'm not so sure if it's supposed to be jumping around so much. And wondering if this is an issue? Because i heard that in regulated mods ohms do not matter much.

I find that this mod eats through a fully charged 18650 faster than my other mod which is a dotmod dotAio v2 which is running the exact same coil and same wicking method. Though my dotmod which was a first hand item seems to have better flavour and vapour production.

Could it be because the mod thinks that it is a 0.5 ohm coil hence the battery drains faster?

    Specs used :
    Coil : BP Mods Clapton Coil 26Ga A1 x 2 + 40Ga Ni 80
    Coil ID : 2.5mm
    Wick : Muji Cotton
    Battery : Molicel P28

    dotmod Specs :
    Dotshell RBA

I run both devices around 38 watts. Would also like to note that the dotmod is reading the ohms correctly at 0.35 ohms on the same coil. And i notice the battery drain is slightly slower than the CBOT.

Any sort of feedback would be appreciated, Thanks!

Yes i can confirm the screws are tight.. you mean the one's on the atomizer right?
Yeah. The little ones that connect the coil to the atty. that whole jumping around thing implies a bad but not gone connection somewhere. Usually it’s those screws but could be something else. Also the area will heat up, so if you’re getting heat from something other than the coil it may be worth checking out. One possibility is the not-exactly-510 at the bottom. A lot of heat there says things need to be improved and tightened up.

Hmm.. i don't notice any other place getting overly hot.. do you think it could be due to the previous owner dropping the device and causing this problem? I do remember someone saying dropping the device would cause it to become inaccurate.

Could happen. Theres the old saying “buying used means buying someone else’s problems”. This is “why are you selling?” Is such a critical question. If it’s internal to the mod it’s possible only the manufacturer can fix it. If they still exist and if they even do that.

I've seen on youtube that this particular device is easily fixable. I just need to get my hands on another dani extreme v3 board perhaps.. But as of now it's vaping fine. The inaccurate ohm reading just annoys me a little bit.. but the vape quality is fine. I'll just deal with the faster battery consumption.
