ohms reading higher than rating

I have a 1.9 ohm coil but my apv reads it at 2.3 I have tried different coils and two different tank brands and they all read higher...should I be concerned?

I don't think it's something to be concerned about.

I bought 2.2ohm kanger coils and my MVP reads them all at about 2.7-2.8. I haven't tested them right out of the box yet, but that's what they read in a filled tank, so I think that's pretty normal.

Most of my Kanger coils read .1 or .2 off, sometimes higher and some lower. I think it's normal, as long as it's not much more than a couple points. If you really want to be sure, check one with your PV and compare it to the reading of an ohm reader and/or a different PV.

Yes unfortunatly QC on comercialy produced coils is not to tight. When I wondered if my meter was off I took it to the BM I bought it from and checked it against a few others. Meter was right coil was higher than labeled. I would not worry about it.

Some premade coils are not as they are rated. They usually are higher ohms. If your not happy with how it vapes you can try buying a lower resistance and hopefully it will read lower than your current set up. They usually are not spot on sadly. If it bothers you badly you can learn to make your own coils. I've found by making my own I save money, they last a LOT longer, and you know what your getting ohms wise. I got fed up myself of the inconsistenty and short life of premade coils and started making my own. I'm now really glad I learned. The coil will last and I just rewick when changing juices. If you use a VV or VW mod, then you don't really care about the resistance value since you can adapt the power. But since you see this difference in many different heads, I would suggest you to measure it again with another device (another apv and/or a multimeter) in case you want to be sure your device works well.

My Vamo V5 had issue's with a aspire nautilus. Different readings each time. Turned out to be a missing O-Ring.
