Oils and PGA?

I have seen various posts on avoiding oil based ingredients because they will damage the atty.

But I also see various post for recipes using oil based products. For example a "Djarumn Black Clove" recipe.

In addition I have also read a post where it is stated that you can thin the oil with PGA to make it safe for the atty.

I'm confused is the true?
Can you thin the oil with PGA (possibly losing flavor) but make it safe for the atty?
Or will it still remain relatively unsafe for the atty regardless?

If anyone knows where I can find this post or information I would appreciate it.

Hello, and yes you can mix PG and VG together...as a matter of fact, a few vendors here sell them, with you deciding the amount of each...I prefer a PG 40 and VG 60 percent...Still have most of the good PG flavor,,,but, also a lot of the vapor...The TH is a little less, but I like the vapor and flavor...Just, my two cents...Enjoy...

I think the OP was referring to PGA, PaulCincy! ;)

As for the oils, I believe that T.V.'s A.C. is an oil based liquid. That being said, it hasn't fried any of my atties yet. But, I hear it's a possibility. But, for THAT stuff, I'm more than willing to take the risk! :D
