I've been lurking here the better part of 2 months, and now finally having bought into this for a while and enjoying it immensely, decided now would be a good time to share my experiences!
After reading about everything I could get my hands on, I decided to take the plunge with puresmoker.com so as to get a e-cig that was affordable yet good enough to allow me to be objective in my opinion. That, my friends, was a good move.
Steve's service is top notch, and pre-testing the products he ships means no hassles out of the box.
I started with a combination of the 901 classic and mini from his site, quickly establishing the classic as a "home" smoke and the mini as a car/work smoke. Both are excellent. So good, in fact, that I immediately experienced a huge drop from a 2-pack a day cigarette habit to just a few, then none as I ran out and adjusted. In fact, a week into being regular cig free, I tried them again, and found them filthy tasting and generally just...yuck. Looks like e-smoking was just what I was looking for.
So a couple weeks in with the 901's, I decided to try the premium experience and ordered myself a Kissbox Classic. Wow. The USB is a godsend (and now I can completely geek out by "smoking my computer" cuz just playing and working on it aint enough hehe), and the vapor quantity is amazing. The character of the smoke is completely different too, much smoother and almost silky. In fact I don't get the same throat-hit from the Kissbox as the 901, I think because the vapor sorta "glides" where the 901 vapor sorta "attacks". Regardless, it's still an amazing experience.
So what else has changed?
Well, I discovered huge differences in my smoking style. As I work online a ton and am an avid gamer, I found that most of my 2-pack a day habit was waste as I'd set the smoke down to do something, then pick it up with only a few puffs left. With an e-cig, it's no worries, no waste.
I also discovered that I can smoke in my cube. Brilliant! No smell, no smoke, nothing bad so nobody cares. Talk about a savings in time and in hassle with the coming Minnesota winter! (trust me... you really reconsider your addictions standing outside in the winter here for a smoke)
E-smoking has been a brilliant step for me. While I'm here lemme throw out a thank you to everyone who's shared experience and advice to make this trip easier. Without it, I may have been turned off by a 15 dollar Health e-cig crapping out on me faster than a 4 dollar pack of real cigs.
Next up? Combining fluids with flavors from bickfords. I got some bottles to mix coming and a couple sample packs of flavors I can't wait to get into. Now just need a good supply of empty carts to avoid cross-tastes.
