Ok, so maybe I worded that a bit strongly, but I'm annoyed right now.

In the beginning... There were blu's, they kind of sucked so I moved on to Ce4 style batteries and clearos. I find out the hard way that my particular taste in nic juice tends to crack tanks. So I move on to vivi novas. Not terrible, but try a few others.. Upgraded battery to a nice digital PV (cant remember name now), DIY my own juices, etc.. but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for in a tank. I liked the bottom coils in the evods and protanks, but evods cracked, and the protanks always got the burnt taste you couldn't get rid of, it could appear out of nowhere even on a full tank.

So I went back to the novas. For the most part I'm happiest with them, but what's got me so annoyed right now is that every single time I open that lid, I get juice all over the place. I'm careful to swab out the middle tube where the carto is, the drip tip, I use a wet paper towel or napkin to clean the threads, very carefully refill the tank, and I've tried this with half-tank, 2/3rds, all full.. it doesn't matter.. when I twist that lid back on, there's 'oil' on my hands, on my battery, and I have to go to the sink, wet another towel, wipe it down again, and even then still it somehow secretes out, if by magic. Along with that, I finally get the thing back to "dry" and take a hit.. gurgle gurgle.. take it back apart, blow out the juice, flick of the wrist, clean drip tip again.. and then it may stop gurgling, but then again, it may not.. start over, rinse, repeat.

I refill 3-4 times a day and this is just getting stupid. Can't they make a decent tank? I've tried them all, and frankly, they all suck in one way or another. I love vaping.. been off analogs forever it seems, but it sure was a lot easier to smoke analogs.

Don't give up now you're in too far, I'm noticing your signature, congrats on that. I've never tried the nova's and I don't use many juices that crack the tank. The one's that do I put in cartotanks which are another beast altogether. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help you. I just wanted to show some encouragement! Good luck and Happy Vaping :vapor:

If you're re-filling 3-4 times a day I'm assuming you are using the mini-vivi. I've been using the 3.5mL vivi for over a year, and filling is easy (I have the original Vision brand) and haven't had a problem with the silicon tops, even after re-coiling many times. I always blow it out into a tissue from the drip tip after filling, just to be sure the air passage is clear.

I personally use a r91 and a Kraken, however before I moved on to the rda/rba world I was using 2puffs glass carto tanks. They hold a decent amount of juice (up to 6 mil) and will not crack or cloud with cinnamon or cherry juices. I would go there. However I really like using a kayfun style tank as well, it really comes down to what you like and want to spend.

You did say your diy'ing your own liquids, one thing that will help with gurgling would be to increase your VG %. You didn't mention what your ratio is now but maybe try a 70% vg mix. This will also help a little with leakage too. I was a vivi user for quite some time and have tried all the others too. I know where your coming from there. I have been using the nautilus for about a week now and haven't had any leakage or gurgling so far but I am concerned about the quality of replacement heads. I am still on my original head with no issues so far but man, I went down that road with the Kangar products and talk about a total waste of money.... The nautilus also holds 5 ml of liquid, actually more than that but that's what they claim on the tank, I'm getting more like 6 ml in there with no issues. That would decrease your refill woes by quite a bit.

yeah I'm using the mini novas now only because the local shop doesn't carry the 3.5's, which yes, are better, but eventually I do experience the same woes minus the refilling space constraints.

I'm checking out a couple of the suggestions here and hopefully something works out. I'm not looking to spend a fortune.. what I like most about the novas is the low cost of operation, the heads seem to last a really long time, I get 2+ months out of one, and I vape a lot.

Oh yeah, I do a 50/50 mix, I really like it where it's at.. just the right amount of TH and vapor for me.
