I think $60 for a yihi device can not be completely wrong. Nevertheless I switched more to wismec/joyetech recently as the SS Temp control works quite well. Maybe take a look at the joyetech cubis too. A bit cheaper, also 200W, also dual 18650...

Have not seen any tests or any real life reviews of the IPV5 so far, so maybe it is aweseome (I loved my 4S).

There's a LOT of good TC mods either out or coming soon, so I would wait for some reviews of the not-yet-released mods before pulling the trigger. For instance I'd want to know it had updatable firmware and user adjustable TCR or at the very least that it supported all wire types within reason. That said, the Cuboid looks to be a good 'un.

Ya I have the 1pv 4s model too and I love it I seeen some deals on the Joyetech cubis too. I not fond of the wisemec Reuleaux RX200 somehow to buy a mod for 42$ that when it has the DNA200 in it is like a 150 that one cheap chip. I have all the parts here now but the chip to build the DNA 200. I have a custom painted Hammond CNC g+ box the faceplate the mount the DNA 200 and the buttons and a 12mm mitec fire button the magnets and a 1300 mah nano tech 25c/5c 3s. so I have a varitube 510 It just add chip and go if I want to go in the high end, I would build something with the SX350j V2 chip in it then I would have the best 2 chips out there
The 330 200 upgraded to the SX340 in the IPV 5 is the next best chip from YIHI. I also think I will build a bottom feeder
I am going to see what deal are out there on the cubis the one thing I don't like about the IPV 5 is the same as you no reviews and pioneer4u can make some real junk sometimes and other time there top notch.
I bought my IPV 4 and it died after a few weeks and had to send out to be serviced well that worked out well because the sent me the IPV 4S that was a nice improvement
Thanks for your input I will see waht deal are out on the cubis and see how it does with SS wire and if it has firmware upgrades
Again thanks

I know your right but the New Years price on the unit is very good that is what has me tempted. 50 bucks that about the same as the 1pv D3 on sale
I wish they would have sent someone like Pbusardo a beta unit or something to get some idea what it going to all about

The Joye Cuboid looks interesting.. It's only 150W but it's overkill for my use. You're saying that it has a real good TC on SS? I was looking for something in dual 18650 that will do the trick on that front.

I'll be selling one of my IPV4's and I won't be buying anything else from P4Y... Their product support makes even Smoktech look good - at least those guys will offer you product improvement upgrades if you pay a couple of bucks. You can't do that with an IPV4/IPV4S for any amount of money and P4Y won't even reply to e-mails.

I did not have any trouble sending my IPV 4 in and got back the IPV 4s on a warranty repair

I was talking about product improvement upgrades, like adding TC for SS. Smoktech did it for the XCUBE II. Yes, they charged a couple of bucks, but they did it. P4Y's solution was to release a new model.

When I e-mailed P4Y to see if they'll actually add the functionality, they never replied. Did that a month later, again no reply after about 2 weeks. Another person also got snubbed by them. Now, if the chip can support it, they can pay Yihi a few bucks to roll out a firmware upgrade. If it doesn't, they could have told me the chip doesn't supported and I would have accepted that.

I find their website to be one of the most confusing sites period. Not much works, most just videos with little to no info on a lot of things. and they have things like ipv new bank account, WTH is that all about?
Maybe it is because it is not meant to be an English site? I don't know. Although I like their cyborg godzilla on the IPV D3 ad for some reason. o_O
