It's day 6 for me, had both of my EVOD's filled with the same flavor but one is 18 mg, the other is 12 mg. Didn't touch the 18 mg today, normally I use it in the morning with coffee then puff the 12 through the day. I'm going to try 12 in both with different flavors, see how that goes. No issue with puffing 12 mg this morning.

How many in here have quit the nicotine then stopped vaping? Did you use the e-cig as a means to an end or just made the switch and carry on using nicotine?

Even if I stick with the nicotine vaping, it's no big deal. I feel overall much better and it's only been 5 days. Went ice fishing yesterday, managed to carry 120 pound of gear onto the ice and back without wanting to keel over - so that's a bonus.

I don't know how much you smoked before, but it's possible that you're getting enough nicotine with the 12mg.
My advice is just -- don't push it with trying to go down to zero nic too fast.

Personally my body let me know after a few months that it was time to step down to 12mg when 18mg just felt like "too much" at times.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but I think you should slow down on dropping. If you're using 12mg without issue, stick with that. The main thing you want to do is completely stop smoking cigarettes for an extended period of time. Once you're at the 2month mark, where all the adverse affects of not having all those chemicals from tobacco stop having such a large toll on you, then jump down as fast as you want.

Just tackle staying away from cigarettes. Very glad to hear that you've already noticed a difference:) I feel like vaping helped clear out all the crap from smoking out of my lungs easier.

I'm at about 10months, and I'm still at 24..and 18 with vendors that don't offer 24..using them in 0.7ohm coils... I was wayway, waaay worse on a couple of other things. Completely tobacco free for 8 months. I view me not dropping my nicotine level down as an economic decision. I love vaping, so I would constantly vape if I didn't have that little reminder to stop when chain vaping. I don't get sick, but I get that little gag reflex when I inhale after getting too much in me. I already spend way too much on liquid...with no space or time to Do It mYself, yet.

18 was too much starting off for the first day or two, think i'm getting accustomed to it now and not sure that's a good thing. The 12 is working fine. Not looking to push the quit, not like it costs much to vape.

Ahhh gotcha. Sounds like 12mg is good for you then. I'd recommend keeping the 18 around just in case you feel like you're having a weak moment - the higher nic might help.

I'm not too concerned with getting off the nicotine. Nicotine itself isn't that bad for you. It's all the other stuff in cigarettes that is the bad stuff. Once I get far enough away from smoking I might start lowering my nicotine lvl but that is the least of my concerns right now.

Just take your time and enjoy being smoke free. If you want to lower your nic lvl then do so slowly.

As of last Thursday, I'm nicotine-free. I knew I wanted to eventually drop the nicotine, but honestly had no intentions of doing it so soon. I came down with a really bad cold the week before last, and my chest was so congested that I couldn't vape. After 4 days of not vaping, I started to question whether or not I really needed the nicotine. Picked up some of my regular juice without the nic and have been using it since then. I previously used 18mg.

I'm a little surprised by how well it's going. I was a PAD smoker for 16 years, and dropped the cigs cold-turkey when I started vaping in November. I haven't vaped at all today...so strange!

Anyhow, good luck in your journey! Let your body decide when you step down - if 12mg is doing it for you now, you may be able to stop using the 18mg! :D

For me, I'm headed toward 6. I started at 24, which was too high. I'm now at 15 (24 and 6 mixed in equal proportions). I'll be here for a few weeks, then 12 for a month or so, then 6. At this time I have no plans to move to 0. I think you ca make jumps as close as a week apart, if your body doesn't argue with you. The period for adjustment seems to be about a week anyway. At least for me.
