I guess because of the availability I went the route of buying a Blu starter kit, so shoot me. I just found this forum yesterday and have been lurking long enough to verify my suspicion that there has to be a better less expensive way to Vape. I am a pack and a few a day smoker of the Cowboy Lights and while I like the ecig and it's touted benefits this Blu stuff could send me to the poor house in a hurry. Please help me! I am sure there are as many opinions as there are members but when I buy my next system it sure would be nice if it actually worked a little better, Ok a lot better. I am currently looking at the Volt systems with the refillable cartomizers and a few bottles of juice and refill kits but is this going to end up being another expensive lesson? My biggest complaints with the Blu is Battery life, cartridge life and cost other than that the upside is I like the taste of the Java Blast and the standard tobacco flavor but they barely curb my cravings for a real smoke. I also have a Fifty-One system that was given to me by a friend and it seems to do the trick much better but the cost of refills is crazy high and they don't last much longer than the Blu.

Welcome to ECF. There is no mistake if it brought you to ECF and Vaping :) I have been told that Smokeless Image is a very good product with good customer service, I have not used them myself.

Are you looking for another small type of cig look a like or would you consider something a little larger with better battery life?

Welcome fellow Virginian!!! A lot of us started on something similar to the blu, so no shooting needed I hope!!!

I would check into the many eGo clones with cartomizers as the delivery system, and e-juice to refill them. Available in many places. Battery like is great, and most cartomizers last a while. If it sticks and you kick the nasties, then you may want to move up to a more advanced PV and maybe even a rebuildable atomizer of some sort.

Best of luck. Shoot me a friend invite, as we have a monthly get together in South side of Richmond, and I'll shoot you back a PM when it gets scheduled.

I don't much care about how it looks I just want something that works. I have used the Blu for the last 5 days and have only supplemented it with 5 or less analogs a day so I know this will work I just need to find a better system and pass this one along to a friend who has been asking about it. I of course bought the top of the line kit but the cartomizers are going to send me to the poor house in short order.

Have a look at this type and see what you think. These batteries will last you all day.

KGO kit1100mAh by SLB

Would suggest something like this for your juice for ease of use.

EGO Vision clearomizers LR 2.1-2.4ohm

Together this would be about the size of a sharpe marker pen. There are many vendors that sell these this was just to show you and give you an idea of cost.

Congratulations on stepping inside the world of vaping! I'm new myself, and the first "e-cig" I bought was a disposable blu, and I loved it but realized there had to be WAY better options. I have since bought a V2 e-cig and love it. My order came out to about 100 bucks, but choose whichever starter you want. I'd highly suggest you get the longer batteries in manual, they last longer and when the battery has a button you don't need to prime your carto before taking a good hit. If you notice, on your Blu you need to puff a few times to get good vapor production, the V2 manual battery takes care of this.

In your order I'd highly suggest you order one or two packages of their blank cartridges so you can refill them yourself with any e-liquid you want. Or, if you'd rather keep it super simple (slightly more expensive though) order one of their flavor samplers so you can try all ten and then know which flavor of cartomizers to continue ordering.

Another tip, get a carrying case from them. Or, make sure you have something at home that works. I kinda think the portable charging cases are a rip off and gimicky, especially if you have the long batteries, but you definitely need something to hold your vaping equipment in. Whether it be a case from them or a some container you already have. Just throwing your PC in your pocket sets you up for failure. My friend did that and bent/broke the threads on his.

As a side note: if you search the web you can find 15% off starter kit codes anywhere you look. When you use this, it gives whoever the code belongs to 15 dollar credit and you get 15% off, a nice perk you can utilize in the future. Or, if it ends up saving you more, you can also find 10% off entire order codes. I'm not giving out mine for two reasons, one, not sure if I'm allowed to on the forum. And second, I want to prove I'm not suggesting V2 for the credit I'd get, I legitimately love their product.

I definitely and going to get into mods and tanks soon, but I have loved the V2 so far, amazing vapor production, and their pre-filled cartos are actually really tasty. I love the coffee and cola. When I first started I loved their V2 red flavor, but now since I actually prefer vaping to smoking, I've stayed away from the tobacco flavors, but the V2 red is a good tobacco replacement. Additionally, if you smoke menthol (or for that matter, can stand it) the menthol flavor or peppermint flavor from V2 is very highly regarded.

I hope you enjoy your V2 as much as I do if you choose to go that route. If you want to step into mods right away, feel free to PM and we can learn about them together, it's a lot of info at once but I have been researching them a lot. Or if you want to know where I get my juices or which concentrations I've been using (nic content, vg, pg, etc) just shoot me a PM. All the money I've spent figuring it out can definitely save you some money.

You can refill the Blu as easily as you can refill any other cartomizer. Like most people who first start vaping, you want to jump from e cig to e cig. I have thousands of dollars in evidence of doing so myself over the past three years. There is no perfect e cig, but it is not always necessary to keep trading up if you like what you have. The Volt is great as are many many others. If you want something bigger, try the Elite from Electronic Cigarettes from Cigeasy - Home of the Easy E-Cigarette. It is the one that I consistently like best for taste, long lasting battery, customer service, and vapor production. This forum is noted for Blu bashing and is also notably biased for Egos and clones of Egos. I have all of them. Just buy some e liquid and try to work with what you have before jumping ship immediately.

Sounds like a plan, I just need to find the PM and friend invite buttons. I am a member of many forums for hobbies but I still need to figure out the control panel on here so bare with me. I live 30 minutes west of Richmond.

Think you need 15 posts before you can use a lot of the Control Panel, like add a signature, Private messages etc.
