And then the work week began.

Anyway the body is shaped from a solid block of Curly Maple, the battery is a 18500, 4050 booster pod, 2 ml genisis atty and a reconfigured telegraph switch borrowed from a Bamboo mod that had a 510 connection. Much more fun on a pipe mod. :)

Thanks. The switch has magnets, which can be seen where the switch is most open. The ball is captive on its screw and the upper plate of the switch is threaded. Twist the ball down and the magnet screws contact, not allowing the electrical contacts to touch.

The other mod had the switch turned around and there was a spring between the legs of the mod and this helped keep the switch from opening so much. Right now there is a piece of rubber under the Hinge so it doesn't open so much, but it could use something better.

Just insane and thanks for sharing. I love the mouthpiece and the copper or brass down tube---wow. I would love to see the guts....How exactly does the fire mechanism work? So very creative and cool. Do you diy your juice? What type of vape do you prefer? Sorry for all the interogatives...

PS: What is a 4050 Booster Pod:confused:

Thanks WharfRat.

It uses a PTN04050C from Ti, and basically the brass frame completes the negative side of the circuit which includes all the brass you see here. The switch contacts are visible in this pic, closest to the fulcrum on the switch, press down the lever and it fires.

I haven't got other pics right now, but will take more soon. Waiting on a sunny weekend morning. :)

Sometimes you get what you wish for. Here is a close up of the switch:

The atty removed and a peek down the barrel:

Disassembled showing the battery contact and the spot where the downtube/leg meets the larger brass tube:

From another angle, the brass tube is more visible, and a small stripe of spalting in the wood:

Getting all the brass parts to contact is a bit tricky with this design. Luckily, when adding the grooves for the legs, The wall was broken through where the atty tube hole was drilled. On the one side fully, on the other it is paper thin, some tension on the legs and the conductivity is quite good.
