OK, What's Up? Server Issues?

What's with the quirkiness...server too busy...search disabled...blank screen. I tried OVER 30 times to try to get "Today's Posts" this evening and it never would work.

This has been happening since yesterday. If I 'hang in there,' I can eventually get what I to display to display. Fortunately, I don't have a life so I can waste my time in this fashion.

Anyone else experiencing this?

No, I haven't, but I do frequently get knocked off the forum and I have to sign in again and sometimes it's slow loading a page. Are you using a dial-up connection? If so, that could be causing the problem that you are having.

I have problems occasionally as well, usually wait a few minutes and it comes back around.

I've noticed the server being slow occasionally. When I have the symptoms you describe a lot of times it's my isp being flaky. You can go back to the home page because it's in the browser cache. Can't get to Todays Post because it's not in the cache. Between the slow ECF server and my usually reliable (this month) isp..
Well when they sync up not much happens except I get a lot of solitaire in.

Don't know if thats your problem or not but it's what I'm seeing here.

I've noticed the glitch that people are having seems to be internet-wide these past several weeks... sometimes websites going down for weeks at a time. Not being especially savvy, mewonders about the stability of the internet. The bigger it gets, the more that will happen.

Hi KitKit...I've had this problem with the sig line also...only seeing the 'x'. Not sure what causes that except some error on the page??? We have also been experiencing the slow load or the 'not available' or whatever. Not sure what that is either.

We normally find this is a localised geographical problem that only affects one or two people.

KitKit, there was nothing under flipnout's post last night, but this morning there is an analog free counter there.

There's been a V4L counter there since I had enough posts to have one, although the issue is likely on the member's server who hosts the counter, not the ECF server.

Flipnout it shows up now! I think the ones that were not showing up are the v4l ones.
