I've seen this alot, its mainly due to heavy condensation in the cloud network, it causes way too many packet collisions and there are simply not enough packet ambulances to go around.

Don't you think until the situation is fixed wouldn't it be a good idea to close new membership until it can be obtained. Then re-open it afterwards? I am getting kicked off ECF with server busy Messages each and every day now and have been for the last 2 or 3 weeks.

I'm not sure that would help out any. Most of the time at least half of the people viewing are guests. So I don't see how stopping people from joining would change that.
Spake, how about limiting the number of guests at any one time, until the new server is up and running ?? Maybe the software can be programmed to do that ??

UGGG! Its been worse the past two days than I have seen thus far. I spent 40 minutes trying to reply to an offer on things for sell in the classy's. It happens at indescriminate times, not like I had thought previously that it was durring peak usuage time only.
How about we just close the snail and j0ker threads until the upgrade is done, I'm sure that would clear up some bandwidth?

why do not better make the amount of posts displayed per page to 10 and turn off the option to 20,30 or 40, and perhaps to stop the options to post pictures and videos

When you embed videos like youtube and use places like photobucket for pictures the bandwidth for them comes from those places it does not tax the ECF server. If you use ECF attachments that does come off the ECF server. So getting rid of using external hosting sites would just bring the user experience down and in my opinion do nothing to solve the problem. Seems like every time i get the server is too busy then i get it to load again there doesn't seem to be that high of a traffic load when you check how many users are connected to the server. So i am not so sure this is a bandwidth problem. Maybe the FDA is D dos'ing the server or BP .lol
with all the supporting members donations it should not be very hard to increase server bandwidth or change server providers. I'm also a member of this Forum Two Plus Two Poker Forum - Poker Strategy Forums and it's arguably bigger and I have yet to experience any problems.
