This question has been on my mind for a bit, and because of the only "dipping" definitions I know of are the popular ones, I couldn't find this anywhere, really. I know what dripping is with vaping, since I've tried it a couple of times. I know what dipping is in reference to chewing tobacco and dipping analogs in whatevertheheck that is done by crazy people. But... what is "dipping" in reference to vaping? I've never seen/heard of it until I went onto a vendor's site, looking to buy some 510 stuff. They have a "pro's and con's" table, and under the "dipping" section it said "very difficult." I am sure it's probably as obvious as it sounds, but I have no idea. Anyone like to enlighten me please? :) :vapor:

My boyfriend does this so I'll try to explain it. He uses an atty that is exposed so instead of dripping onto it he dunks the tip of the atty bridge in ejuice. He keeps what juice he is using in an old contact case for easy dipping. The mesh on the bridge soaks up ejuice in a second then he vapes it. It's very similar to dripping. Hope I explained this well.

Hahaha, okay so it was sort of what I thought. Thank you for helping me! Now I understand why a 510 atty is definitely not an easy piece of equipment to use for dipping.

Is there any advantage to dipping?
Supposedly the atomizer will pick up the amount of juice it needs.
So you don't have to worry about flooding the atomizer, or conversely, not putting in enough juice.

I'm a lazy vaper so the added steps of removing the drip tip, dipping and replacing the drip tip seems like too much extra work.
It was too much extra work for me, when I tried dipping for awhile.

Back when they didn't have drip tips it made more sense than it does now.
That's probably why you never hear about dipping anymore.
