Old clearomizer

When the clearomizer gets old, will it make gurgling noises? I've had 2 that started doing that and the vape starts tasting weird and not producing much vapor. It doesn't taste burnt or anything like that, it just tastes different.
i recently bought 2 new tanks, one is a Kanger T2 and the other is a ce5. I like them both but I think I like the ce5 best.
Any thoughts on good replacement clearomizers? I like the ones that you can replace the wicks and coil.

No it won't gurgle just because it's old. That just means liquid got into the air tube somehow and needs to be cleared out. You can only put so many mls. of juice through them before they need to be cleaned or replaced. I personally prefer cleaning them if possible, you can make them last quite a bit longer that way.

Haven't had the ce5, but I know the T2 will come apart enough to clean it out. Vodka will work, but make sure you rinse all the parts really well and make sure everything is dry. Sometimes, just a nice rinse under some warm water will bring them back to life. As to replacement clearo's, you may want to look into the Vivi Nova's. They are fairly cheap, you can replace the coils pretty easy and you can use different ohms, and they are easy to fill and to clean.

The T2 and the CE5 both come apart really good and the wick/coil are changeable, but the other 3 clearos I have don't come apart at all. The tip comes off so you can fill them but that is it. If I soak them I would be soaking the wicks and coil part too. I didn't know if that would be alright to do. Either way I'm going to have to buy some new clearos at some point. Just thought if I could use them a bit longer that it would be good.

With the clearos you have that don't taste right, if you can take them apart to the point you can see the coil and squeeze the wicks with a paper towel ( to dry them), then they'd be worth cleaning, if not, I'd get rid of them and stick to the ones you can clean. I would suggest getting something with the replaceable heads like the Vivi Nova or Mini Vivi Nova, or a stardust type with replaceable heads. The T2 and CE5 have replaceable heads and should be easy to clean.

We all have different ways of doing things, but I've found for me all I've needed to do as far as cleaning is a warm water rinse and a dry burn and that will bring them back to life. Depending on what juice your using will make a difference with how dirty they get, if your using high% VG juice they are more likely to get dirtier and have a burnt crust form, so it would be better to clean those more regularly. Basically you just have to do trial and error to find the right time to do your cleanings.

The earlier CE4s were not rebuildable, and it's a real process to try to work the silicone cover off the coil and out through the tip... Do NOT try dry burning unless you can get that part off. You may "cook" it, and never get the taste out. But you can't see the coil, so can't effectively dry burn, anyway.

If gurgling, take them off the battery and blow gently from the battery end - into a napkin, towel, tissue - to clear the juice out of the air tube.

You may be able to soak them in vodka for a while, then allow them a day or two to dry out... or, once thoroughly drained, add juice and go. If you don't have issues with alcohol, and don't mind the flavor change!

The CE5 / stardust versions out now are pretty much all rebuildable, or simple to replace the coil. Yo don't have to learn how to make coils

Thanks for the info. No, I'm not ready for making my own coils yet. The place I bought my CE5's from has the replacements for about 3.50 and I can live with that. If I have understood everything here on ecf, I probably only have to do that about every 3 weeks or so. I went on and bought several more of the CE5's and I'll just toss the Tsunami tanks.
I am getting gurgling from my T2 so I'll try blowing into it to see if that helps.
Thanks again for all the help!
