Old timer newbie

Hey! I've been vaping now for about 10 years, and have been a member of this forum for nearly 9 years but I suddenly find myself being a newbie again.

After much trial and error (Not to mention expense) I had hit on the perfect (for me) set up which consisted of a ProVari P3, an EGo mega dual coil cartomizer, and alien Visions Boba's Bounty e-liquid. This has been my daily vape for many years.

And while Boba's Bounty disappeared for a while, it came back. ProVari no longer exists, but my P3 is still going strong so no worries there... Yet.

The EMDCC however has become a serious problem. I had a fair sized stock of them but it is nearly exhausted and it seems they have been discontinued.

The EMDCC was perfect for me because it was leak proof, I loved the flavor, and I only needed to fill it up every two or three days. So my quandary is that since I have been entirely satisfied with what I had for so many years and so, have not kept up with the latest in vape tech.

I am effectively a total newbie as to what is available out there and could seriously use some pointers as to a replacement for the EMDCC.

Thanks for the heads up on the two sources for EMDCC's but unfortunately, the first one is an 808 thread and I need 510, and the second is in Canada so I'm leery of the import duties and international shipping.
I guess I'll just have to hit the local vape shops (which didn't yet exist when I started) to see what my options are.

Go to the last page on this thread and ask your question.

Oh yeah, I forgot you said you were running these on a Provari

Thanks for the heads up on the two sources for EMDCC's but unfortunately, the first one is an 808 thread and I need 510,

There are various, inexpensive, small adapters that allow people to use different threaded cartos, tanks, etc. on 510 threaded devices. Some are 510 to eGo, 510 to 801, etc. I'll do some checking and see if I can find you at least a couple 510 to 808 adapters.

OK, here you go:
After searching and finding the 2nd place below, I found out that Vapor4Life (place that has the cartomizers)...also has the 510 to 808 adapters that you'd need, too! You just screw the 510 threaded end into your P3 (and/or any other 510 threaded mod when/if your P3 bites the dust) and then put the 808 threaded cartomizer on the top. Problem is solved then!

By the way, if you decide to get the 5-packs of the cartomizers and some adapters at Vapor4Life...use the promo code SUPER10 in the appropriate box on your shopping cart page...and it'll take 10% off your total order! Those expensive $19.99/5pack cartomizers will be $17.99 and the adapters will be $3.59 each instead of $3.99 each.

510 to 808D Adapter

The following vendor in Texas has them, too.

Hello @PhantomII, after reading through I found out that you have the 510 connector for you P3 and that's a very good thing indeed.

Either the Innokin Zlide or Aspire Nautilus GT tanks would work then, but not too sure that you could work with the diameter of them with the P3. As they're both 24mm wide and supposedly the P3 is at 23mm.

In the past, I had very little luck with tanks as they tended to leak in my pocket. I also am very fond of the soft rubber tip on the EMDCC and as of yet, I haven't seen a tank that offers that.

I plan on visiting some vape shops soon to see what is out there though.

Well the Aspire Nautilus GT out of those two may be a better option, as you can replage the driptip with an aftermarket option. Such as a silicone one.

Plus the Taifun Typhoon GTR heritage of it may actually fit your P3 more and the quater turn to unlock for refilling the tank is a decent feature.

Here's the Nautilus GT thread for your interest.

Learning to make your own coils is great for self-sufficiency...and cost. That being said, my RTAs with top airflow never leak.

I have had my Provaris and Aspire Intake RTAs for several years now. The metal coil lasts 2-3 months. The wick (rayon) that I put in the coil is a couple of weeks.

Just a thought. Good Luck!

I used BrotherBob's search parameters on Google and got a possible hit. Normally I use DuckDuckGo as a search engine but for some reason, CigNot didn't come up in the search. Oddly enough, CigNot was one of the first vendors I used when starting out all those years ago. All of the other vendors showed out of stock/discontinued.

Anyway, they listed a clear EMDCC in stock although from the image, it looks like the stainless steel version, but no matter. I placed an order and they sent a conformation e-mail so now the wait begins.
