I've vaped plenty of 6 month old steeped NETs and they are all excellent. But I steep those for many months on purpose.

I was looking through a box on my shelf last night and found a 14 month half full bottle of Vermillion River's Cherrywood. I like that juice a lot and was surprised to find it laying in a box unfinished. I opened it and smelled it. Smelled perfectly fine. I drew some into the dropper and looked at it. Looked about the same as new. So I filled a tank and it was as good as the day I bought it.

I'm sure the nic had oxidized due to age but I noticed little difference in anything. I've had old bottles of stuff that I don't like turn almost black. Usually the sweet ones. So I'm sure not all can sit on a shelf for a year+. This one was also in glass kept in a dark place.

What is the oldest you have vaped that still vaped nice?

It's an important question for those who only vape store bought. How long can you stock up IF the reg hammer takes it away?

I recently started vaping again and some of the old juice I had left from awesome vapor had expired in 2011. It vaped but there was zero flavor. This is a good thread idea, I would be very interested how long I could stock up for. I suppose I should stop looking into gallon deals. :)

Was it in plastic or glass? I think the glass helped the bottle I'm vaping right now. Plastic lets air pass through. Too bad i don't have a year old bottle that was in plastic to try out. I got tired of looking at my failbox and gave it away a few months ago.

Plastic, I don't think glass would help unless you had a very good seal on the cap. It has been my experience (not with juice) that the glass bottles with a dropper are the worst.

I'm a little curious on how old a juice has to be before it's considered "bad" by most vapers, I've still got 3 bottles of Pluid that are over a year old (at least... they are still in the older round bottles he used to use) I've smelled them several times and still smells the same, can't bring myself to vape it as it's 20mg though. I want to put them up super cheap in the classifieds but I'm worried it's considered bad form to try and sell juice that old.

If any juice would be good after aging it seems like Pluid would be, it's crystal clear now instead of the cloudy color it is when fresh. Still a punch in the nose when you take a whiff too.

I've had some apple flavored juices that developed really funky off flavors after sitting for 6-8 months, it seems reasonable to assume some flavors would maintain their integrity better than others, the only one I've really noticed going bad is the apple though.

just make sure you specify the age of the juices

had bought some bobas about a year and a half ago and didn't really care for it to much. I just left it in my stash of unused and ready to throw away pile in my garage, well last month I seen it and figured I would try it again and to my surprise, it not only tasted great, I finished it and bought more. this old bottle was plastic and like I said, was in my garage, and I live in florida. so at least in this case, the juice didn't degrade and was fine.

Great feedback in this thread. I've never really put much thought into how old a juice can stay good until I found an old one. I recent found a 10 month old DIY Indian tobacco bottle in the console of my truck. It's actually better and smoother than it used to be. Color is the same as well.

I agree that some flavors lose it. Fruits are probably the likeliest. Tobaccos seem to hold their own for sure. I suppose if the worst thing that happens to a particular flavor is nic content slowly dropping then old bottles are basically as good as newer ones. There's nothing that can really truly "spoil" in juice for the most part. PG/VG are very stable liquids.
