I purchased a Smoking Everywhere Gold kit for my grown son for Christmas. I will probably end up buying the Totally Wicked brand for him, now that I've read the forums here. The customer service at Smoking Everywhere isn't helpful at all.
He was/is a light smoker and I believe at this point was mainly smoking to keep his hands busy and just as a habit. Anyway he is fine with the 0mg nicotine cartridges. He hasn't had a 'real' cigarette since Christmas! :) I find all of this very interesting and would like to make my own 'juice' for him in the 0mg nicotine. I did purchase a sample flavor kit and syringe from Johnson Creek (very prompt and extremely nice customer service) but as I read in the forums adding a little Vegetable Glycerine to the JC will make it thicker and produce more smoke. I looked at Walmart (I did find something called Sweet Oil by Humco ?) and CVS and Walgreens and was unable to find any. I plan to try Whole Foods tomorrow for the VG.
This may be a stupid question but oh well, asking is the only way to learn. If I want to buy/use simple flavorings like strawberry, vanilla, cherry...could I use McCormick food extracts?

The Strawberry extract lists : water, alcohol (27%), extracts of strawberry, apple juice concentrate, lactic acid, carmel color, natural and artifical flavors, propylene glycol, and FD&C Red 40.

If so since it already has propylene glycol would I need to add the vegetable glycerin to it? Since I don't need the nicotine what would I add to it? anything?

A 0mg nicotine juice recipe would be appreciated

Hi Melindacook,

Vaping Zero Nic e-liquid is quite common. I have not used nicotine for a very long time now but still have that "hand to mouth" urge.
First off you want to buy USP Glycerine--it should say it right on the bottle. Remember there are no studies done, so safety of either VG, PG or flavorings is unknown, Use at your own risk is the name of the game for now.

USP Glycerine can be bought in many health food stores or on line. You can also us USP Propylene glycol that can be found in many pharmacies behind the counter or in tractor and feed stores. Both can be ordered on line.

As for flavorings in most supermarkets such as McCormicks, they simply are not strong enough. Further you have to watch your ingredients. In the one you advance, I would not use as it contains food coloring and you do not want to inhale colorings or any oil based flavorings.
Flavorings done by Lorann Candy Oils (most are not oil based) or Bickford Flavorings are very powerful and many members employ them regularly. See www.Lorannoils.com

Check out the DIY section right here on the Forum for recipes. I personally use a mix of VG thinned with high proof grain alcohol and use 80% VG and 20% Lorann. Of course the ratios will vary depending on the flavor. When purchasing, make sure the flavorings contain no colorings and are water soluble otherwise they will kill your atomizer very quickly.
Hope that helps,
