OMG PTB Mod Rocks!!

If you haven't tried the PTB (pyramid tea bag) as filler in your 510 yet you gotta try it. I got about 20 drips in as opposed to the 6 (if i was lucky) using the default filler. The vapor tastes better and there is A LOT more of it! I also don't have to stop and drip in a couple drops after 10 drags like I was having to do.
If you're having vapor issues this will probably be the fix for you... give it a shot

I have read alot about the PTB mod. I have a question. How often can you refill the cartridge with juice before needing to make a new PTB filler? I would hate to have to sit for about 5 hours per week making these things. I would still love to try this.

I don't have an answer on how many times one PTB will hold up. When the wicking seems to diminish, I wash the PTB in warm water (& dry it off with a papertowel). I only throw one away when that fails to make it wick.

Ive been using the same PTB for over a month. To clean it you only have to squeeze it in a paper towel, no water needed... when u lift it out of the cart and its darker than the juice you use, its time to squeeze it out, that is mostly unvaporizable goo.

I've been using the same PTB filler for over three weeks. It is holding up strong, and cleans very easy.

ill use the same cart for weeks w/ no cleaning. clean juices such as dekang dont have much that wont vaporize in them. When u start getting juices that re-sellers add flavorings to, you get gunk in the atomizer and cart.

Thanks Dokie. I read through your thread and will give the shredding method a go. Now all I need to do is find some PTB. I guess Wal-Mart would have them.

I used my first LPTB today and I'm loving it. Will have to try the shredded method for my next cart.

I'm not a tea fan but I got the caramel (with real pieces of caramel!) and mixed it 3:1 with coffee creamer and it turned out drinkable lol.

Just going to toss my support for the PTB mod as well. It's fantastic. works much better than the stuffing that stock 510 carts come with. Cleaner flavor, more vapor and no leaks or drips. I just started yesterday, so I have no idea how long these will last, but I can't imagine them breaking down any time soon. Easy to make, cheap (well, relatively. 40 cart stuffings for about $5) and definitely heat resistant (they're designed to withstand boiling water).
