On the Go Mech Mod.

High there.
As the title suggests, I'm looking for a mech that I can stick in my pocket for short trips down the pub etc. I'd like it cost under £40, so a clone it is.
18650 tube size and most importantly a solid lockring which I can trust. I already have a Manhattan clone and although the magnets are very good, I still don't trust it in my pocket. Any suggestions based on experience are very much appreciated.

There's no lock ring but it'd be difficult for a smpl to fire if it's in a pocket by itself considering the switch is all the way in the tube. I've been pocketing mine as a daily carry for a couple of weeks without issue and a good clone can be had cheap. Just my 2 cents.

Panzer Clone (many different Finishes & Materials).
Preferably one made by Shenxi for assured quality.
The Bottom buttons are flush with the bottom of the mod Body and they also have reverse-thread locking Rings.
Magnetics are smooth and quirkless.
Have a full-copper black-coated (not sure if powder-coat or PVD) exterior Hellfire Black-Hawk model myself and zero complaints.

I carry my SMPL in my pocket, the Stingray X has a good locking ring and is relatively small.

Stingray X for sure, I'd personally choose the Kepler clone since it actually improved the design and made the main tube one section, rather than three thread connected sections like the original. Less voltage drop, less threads to clean or get messed up, and it looks better with no seams.

Wow, cheers for the swift response guys. The Stingray looks very nice indeed. What's fast tech like? I assumed it was an American company, but I see they are based in Hong Kong and deliver free worldwide! Anybody ordered to the uk?

I carry SMPL clone with a vinyl cap like this: link to ebay item. Put a quarter in the bottom of the cap, as it's just slightly wider than the mod itself, then slide it on the bottom over the button. Nice snug fit, hasn't come off accidentally yet, though I've only been using it for about 2 weeks. All credit to duc916 for the idea of the caps, had a thread on it over here where the other idea is a flashlight holder.

I can fit both a SMPL and a XXIX completely in my shirt/jacket front pocket (with rda).

Before i went 26650, I loved my 18650 Copper Vanilla Mod clone.
I really like the locking ring on that thing, and it hits really hard.
Now I carry around a 26650 Chi You Megan clone, but I got a little belt holster for it.

I have a Smok Magneto authentic. It's only about $40 ad has a magnetic switch with a lockring. There is a new version out that I haven't seen in person yet, but it looks pretty sweet. The V1 is definitely a solid piece of gear though. It telescopes to fit an 18xxx battery and fits nicely in my back pocket with a short-ish topper.

So, I've narrowed down. Stingray, Colonial or Pegasus are winning. Thanks for the input guys. Theres a vape shop by me that stocks all the above, so I think I'll go have a play and see what grabs me.

I would suggest the Phantom by wotofo for on the go. It's a great authentic mod that's only $40, comes with an extra set of contacts and option for regular or hybrid caps. If you end up beating it to hell, it's only $40. I've used it as my go-to on the go/work vape for the last couple weeks. I have the copper version. Highly recommended.
