Just ordered 4 different flavors of e-liquid from the same manufacturer. All of them are 60 pg / 40 vg and 6 mg nic. 3 of them vape great, but the 4th seems to give me a burned flavor way too easy. No scatchy hits or throat pain, just a burned flavor. I have to turn to power down from the typical 18 watts to 14 watts to decrease this. Even then, if I hit it for too long, I get a burned flavor. This is in a Subtank Mini with the rba deck at 1.2 ohms. Any ideas?

I make all of my own juice. I have one (Hazelnut Creme) that burns if vaped the same as all my other flavors. I have to turn the wattage down for it. I don't know what causes it. I am just aware that it does, so just turn it down when i vape it. If you enjoy the one that burns, turn it down and don't fret about it :D

Once the coil is burned, even slightly, the coil will ruin the taste of the whole tank. Turn it down to about 11-12 and see if that works.

Hope helps

For sure this^^

One should always start low and work your way up with anything new to find the sweetspot.
A new coil or a new liquid. Anything burnt is just nasty. Cheers.

It is already 60pg/40vg, so going to 50/50 will only thicken it. I'm just confused because other juice from the same manufacturer at the same ratio doesn't do this, so why would this one be any thicker?

Also, I can put new juice in the tank without touching the wick or coil and it will vape great at 18 watts after 4 or 5 hits. There is no lingering burned flavor.

Even from the same manufacturer with the same pg/vg ratio, different juices have different flavorings, each of which is made up of unique chemicals. Some flavorings are more susceptible to heat, which would be why you're getting a burnt taste on one juice. As you've already learned and others have suggested, start low and work your wattage up with any new juice.

I only suggested "trying" it because when I went sub ohm I had 400ml or so of 100% pg vanilla diy that was just horrible at 30 watts. However I did a trial and cut a little 50/50 with plain pg.
Now I can vape it at 30 watts fine and now have 800ml of liquid. A beautiful thing.

It's possibly more about the flavouring than the pg/vg ratio. YMMV. Cheers.

Okay, now you have confused me. You had 100% pg flavored and you cut it with 100% unflavored pg? You ended up with half the nicotine and half the flavor, making it better? Sorry, I assumed that your "50/50" meant 50%pg and 50%vg.

Yes but instead of vaping at 7 or 8 watts I'm now at 30.....lots of flavour but still a little too much nic for me. Cheers.

Edit.... NO VG.

For Me, all Flavors can Not be Vaped at the Same Wattage.

So do well at More Watts. And Some Don't.

Lucky, we live in an Age when Most People are using VV/VW Devices. So Dialing Down (or Dialing Up) is Not very hard.

Quick update. This particular e-liquid seems to have a very small window for decent flavor. I recently purchased a DNA 40 device with temperature control. At 430 degrees this e-liquid has very little flavor. 440-450 degrees it seems to vape well with decent flavor. At 460 degrees it begins to have a burned flavor. It is now obvious that this narrow window prevents this e-liquid from being ideal for anyone who takes long lung inhales. As temperature control devices become more mainstream, I expect to start seeing e-liquid makers to list an "ideal vaping temperature" on their e-liquids.
