New Tank = Lower nic level .... need ideas

So here is the deal. I have been vaping from a Mini Protank 2 for a while and loving it. I have been rebuilding the atomizers to 1.8 ohm with 3mm silica, and more recently with KGD cotton. vaping at 10 watts, over time I end up burning up the insulators. I figured it was time to step up to the next level. Today my MVP 20W arrived along with a new SubTank Mini. I have the new tank turned all the way down for air flow and I am vaping it with the 1.2 ohm coil at 14 watts. The flavor is GREAT, but the throat hit seems hard and now I am getting light headed with a head ache. Do I need to reduce my nic level for this new tank? I am currently at 18 mg. What nic level should I drop to?

Sounds like lower nic level would help a lot. When I switched from Nautilus Mini clearomizers to RTA's I quickly dropped from 24mg to 12mg, and am even considering going lower. On the dripper I use 6mg.

Also, higher PG = more throat hit.

18mg with a subtank is way too much. I had to cut down to 6 when I got my Atlantis.

6mg for the subtank and you may just want to keep a bottle of 12 in the same flavor so you can either mix or just put some 12 in when you get a craving.

I was at 18 nic when I got my Atlantis and they said I should cut it down, so got some 12 at the same time. Next morning, I called and had them send me some 0 nic to dilute all my nic to about 8 and have been buying 6 nic since. Now that I have the Atlantis and the Kanger subtank both firing on a Sigelei 100W Plus, I am thinking I am going to have to lower it even more. I never intended to drop nic level, but with the new gear, that is just a bonus side effect. Go for it!

I had 18 and 24 and couldn't handle it in the subtank so when I ran out of 18 I hit a vape shop and picked up some12 and 6 incase I wanted to mix... I'm wishing I picked up two 12s because I've gone through15ml of 6mg in 2 and a half days. (Waaaay above normal consumption) can't put the thing down with 6mg. But yeah lower nic is the answer.

Thanks. Through all of the reviews I watched and read on the SubTank, I thought I was pretty darned educated on it. I guess I missed one thing. I assumed that 18 mg juice was 18 mg juice. I guess I was wrong. I have a bunch of 18 mg juice that I don't know what I am going to do with now. I guess, if I really like the juice, I could order some 0 mg and dilute it. Time will tell.

On the up side, I have been wanting to try some flavors from a shop about 80 miles north of me. I guess now I have an excuse to spend even more money

Nice purchases! Around 14 watts is a happy medium for vape temp and flavour for me too on that type of tank. I'm using 3mg juice and it took me 2 days to get over the sore throat when I first went from old kanger tanks to that one. it's an entirely different animal. Have fun with your new gear.

Drop your nic to12mg, you'll be back where you were before... Its normal your using 40% more power so you getting almost 40% more nic.

You can easily pic up some base, or VG from local pharmacy and cut them by 40% to use them up..
