Ok, it has been one week with vaping... Still have not completely quit analogs. Down to 5 a day. I have switched from tobacco flavored juice to a watermelon flavor. Analogs still don't taste nasty to me... Still waiting for that... After this tank of watermelon I'm going to switch to a vanilla cupcake. vaping 8 to 12 mg of nic. Not sure whether I should try to up nic or not. I'll give it another week. It may be that I just need to give it some time... I'm still very happy with the results considering I was a 1 1/2 PAD smoker.... I won't quit my mission because this is the closest I've ever come to quitting and am determined to become tobacco free!!!!

Thank you so much for your support!!!! I love ECF!!! It has really helped.... I feel the love...:)

Just wanted you to Know that you are Not Alone. And that Many of us went thru Exactly what you are going thru Right Now.

Drink a Lot of Water. Stay Busy. Get some Exercise. And keep those Regular Cigarettes and Ash Trays out of sight.

Going from 30/day to 5 is Great. And I know if you Keep ramping down that Soon you will be Able to Smoke that Last Cigarette. And put all that Behind you.

Hi Jennifer. Congrats on your progress!

I tried a couple different things when I quit. I was a 2 pack a day of orange pack lights and 12mg was my balance. It took me 12 days to adjust to vape.

The "itch"
When I was trying to quit I used a cheap clearomizer/tank with the next higher nic in it. When the "itch" got to where the regular vape wasn't scratching it I would hit the higher nicotine tank once and go back to the regular nic vape. It usually took from 3 days to a week to get adjusted to the lower nicotine level. I said usually because I used this same technique to reduce my nicotine content in steps from the high level down to the under 3mg I now enjoy.

That "morning cig"
I kept one flavor of juice just for the mornings. Instead of reaching for the cig in the mornings I knew I had the one flavor juice I enjoyed waiting on me (a blueberry muffin type). After the morning vape I would not use this flavor for the rest of the day. What this did was to give me something to look forward to every morning instead of the cig.

You'll make it!

Your doing really well, Jennifer keep it up and you'll be off the 'cancer sticks' in no time at all. I smoked cigarettes whilst I was vaping at first (I think a lot of people do), but you've cut down a lot so your winning. For me the 'first one of the day', was the last to go but that came on its own so I didnt really miss it at all :)

Keep up the good work as your doing a fantastic job

What are you vaping with? That makes a difference regarding nicotine intake. I use 24 mg in a little ce5 and 12 to 18 in a nautilus mini or GS air tank. Subohm tanks are way lower typically.

Great Choice on Equipment for your Mission.
Sounds like you have planned it out well and have a healthy Perspective and realistic Vision of your Journey as well as the nuances of the "Legs" of that Journey. Stay your plotted Course as it stands a very distinct Probability of taking you where you want, and need, to go.
Don't sweat the Nic level or for the time being. That chosen Facet IS working for you obviously as is. You can dial that and other Specifics later on after the Primary Objective (laying the Nails to rest eternally) is accomplished. But, if you get mired and stuck at the 5AD Hurdle, then maybe up the Nic to 16-18 to get a "push". Only when we find ourselves stuck and not making any progress does the situation demand a change in Tactic or Tool.
Sir2 has some awesome Points regarding the Mental Blocks you may be, or possibly will, encounter and tricks to overcome. The Mind is like Pavlov's Dog. It is a Creature of Habit and resists change especially when it senses the death of its Routines. Ya gotta have "treats" or Rewards for it along the way or it resists jumping through hoops and leaving its Comfort Zone. To get it to behave and especially to entice it to change behavior, it needs more than strong Resolve of Will. The Self requires Gratification. It insists on receiving if it is to give.
The little Mind-Game tug of war has to be considered and conquered right along with the Physical. The Physical is the easy part. The Act of Vaping itself along with the Nic in the Liquid easily replaces and placates that Transition. Willpower alone sometimes lacks the punch needed to break the final Hold of Habit. That's where the "treats" and Rewards come in. I used Vigilante Grey Ghost Juice as my Treat. Even after having kicked the Camel off my back for almost a Year I still had a Tank of the "Good Stuff" once a week to mark and celebrate Accomplishment.
You can also set Goals (reasonable ones with adequate time allotted to achieve) and dangle the Carrot to get the Mule to comply. I promised myself new or better Devices as Reward. Nothing like self-Gratification & Justification to bring about needed change.
Sure that has its own possibility of Issues but those Possibilities are inconsequential compared to battle at hand; Slaying & defeating the Camel or the Cowboy.
Them's some Bad-Azz Opponents and they both know us very well.
They don't go down easy or without a fight.

Enough of that crap for the day...
You'e doing AWSOME! Stay on Point, be Vigilant & Resolute in your Mission, use Psy-Ops to breach the toughest mental Bunkers and you will be victorious.
Vape On & Enjoy.

Very well done! You're winning, so don't give up. And yes, try everything you can think of to make it easier. More nic, less nic, more vapor, less vapor, different flavors, whatever. Fight the battle one stick at a time. Each one you don't smoke is a victory, no matter how many still do.
