I am (was) a 1/2 pack a day smoker. At my heaviest, I smoked up to 1 1/2 packs a day. After my wife quit, I managed to cut down a lot without a smoking buddy in the house. I'm not a particularly heavy smoker, but the addiction is firmly in place.

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to switch to e cigs. It's been great! Took me a few days to adjust. I had cravings for tobacco cigs at first. vaping really helped tp quell the cravings. Now, I don't want to smoke at all. I use the 901 about as much as I smoked. About 10-15 drops per day right on the atomizer. No filling material in the mouthpiece. At this point, I actually prefer vaping to smoking. It's much more enjoyable to me. No stink, no bad breath, no hocking up crud every morning. It's great, and this is coming from someone who made many honest attempts at quitting.

I'm on 18-24mg juice from truevapor. I really like the flavor a lot. It's called "turkish blend". I took that to mean "camel". Doesn't remind me of a camel or a cigarette at all for that matter. Reminds me much more of pipe tobacco. Kind of sweet and roasty. Very good. The process and experience of this device is more like smoking a pipe than a cigarette as well. You can't really hork one down the way you smoke a tobacco cigarette. It's more of a slow, savoring type of thing, which I really like.

So, my plan is to step down the nicotine content until I'm at 0 over the next 3 months. If I still enjoy this thing at that point, I'll keep enjoying it.

I know a lot of people curious about e cigs come to this forum and browse around looking for info. I did. To those people:

This has made quitting tobacco easy and relatively painless for me. I enjoy the hell out of it. I feel great. I don't stink. You can drink the cool-aid is what I'm saying, basically. 1 full week of coffin nails, and it's fine. No sweat.

If I can do it, anyone can.

Good luck!

It's a whole new lifestyle, ain't it? Just don't slip. Note how much you vape, and the supplies you use. Put yourself on an order schedule so you can get new supplies before you run out. (Stash a couple of spares.)

Running out of supplies is the biggest reason people go back to them smelly ciggies.

:) the post tile reads "one week of analogs" LOL.

The idea of a week of analogs now makes me queezy :).

But all that aside, as my Aussie friends would say: Good on ya!

I have found this remarkably easy to give up the analogs with! I really don't care to quit, might but...., but I hate to see all the tax $$$ going to an out of control government to squander. Good aside from that is that it sure seems a lot better for me overall (time will tell, but I'm going to die of something eventually :)).

Congrats and eep up the good work!
