I have two bottles in route with my EVOD kit, and the wife bought 4 bottles of juice at the local B&M, and while they taste great, the burn and dry out my throat. Not to mention that online juice seems less expensive than B&M purchases.

Wondering where is a good juice vendor online That is safe for a noob to try and not waste money on.

High pg liquid will dry you out; high nicotine liquid might burn the throat a bit, but burning throat I'd be more thinking burnt hits from too high a voltage for the tank.
If the b&m mixes the liquids then try asking for 50/50 pg/vg unflavored 12mg; starting from there you can make adjustments up or down one way or the other.

Hi Bover and welcome.

What flavors do you like? What nicotine strength are you using? How much are you willing to spend? There are so many good juice makers nowadays--from very inexpensive and enjoyable Liqua to very expensive boutique gourmet selections.

If you're not sure, visit our Eliquid subforum and read some reviews--ask questions.

My best advice is to order several samples from different suppliers--3 ml or 5 ml bottles. When it comes to eliquids, it's all trial and error, I'm afraid.

Weird is the fact that while I smoked Full Flavor Reds like Marlboro for 30 years, I ABSOLUTELY CAN'T STAND tobacco flavored liquids and cartridges I've tried thus far. Whenever I've delved into smokeless tobacco, I always enjoyed the 'classic' or natural tobacco flavors, and couldn't stomach the mint or wintergreen stuff, but mint and menthol e-cigs seem to appeal to me.

With eliquid, I seem to like flavors like mixed berries, or fruits, some blended with menthol, like one I tried called "Menthol berry blast" I haven't tried any of the coffee, or bakery ones to really form an opinion, so I'll have to try those out at a later date. I've been using 18mg since I started two weeks ago.

Thanks for all the replies!

I should add that since we (the wife and I) are only two weeks in, Some of this could be the side effects of the switch from 30 years of smoking to vaping. Just weird that the wife complained of the same throat burn as me. I'd discribe it as a dry scratchiness. The brand name of the juice is "The Vapor Factory". It doesn't say anything on the bottles about the PG/VG ratio.

If you want to try some inexpensive online juice I would suggest mtbakervapor.com or ECblends.com. They both have a large selection that you can custom order nic levels and pg/vg ratios.

Keep in mind they would have to steep it! I just got mine today and it's been steeping since last Thursday...I'm thinking about getting a 510 atty just to test it out by Friday.

You guys should call the B&M shop and ask them what the mixture is. It probably would help us determine where it's going wrong.

Hey, that sounds familiar. I was never a menthol smoker, but I love menthol/mint flavors when I vape. I also like coffees; not crazy about dessert flavors, though. Most of them taste fake and too sweet to me.

Happy hunting!

Harshness and discomfort are usually caused by too much nicotine--nicotine has a slightly peppery taste or too much PG. I like 70/30 or 60/40 PG/VG ratio. Some flavorings may also cause a reaction. Remember that vaping is dehydrating--drink plenty of water, use Biotene mouthwash if your mouth feels very dry. It takes a while to adjust to vaping. Baby steps.

Welcome. Vapor is 10 times heavier than cig smoke. It is a different feeling when you inhale. I use madvapes.com for my juice needs. They never disapoint. With ejuice you want to open it and let it sit for hours or days. This is called steeping. It brings out better flavor profiles. As for your throat. Take it slow. Small drags and work your way up.

Man does Mount Baker have a treat for you....Hawk Sauce. Don't like fruit and hated menthol cigarettes but this is my favorite flavor.
