I have the Aspire Atlantis V1. I have not been very pleased with it. The vapor production is good, but no matter what juice I try the flavor is very muted. I am using a Sigelei 50w Vr2. I usually vape between 27-32 watts with .5 coils. Is there a tank which will give me good vapor and flavor or do I have to give up one for the other?

Do you build?

I have the Kanger Sub Tank Mini (a couple) and really like them but I mostly use the RBA section. I did start using the vertical .5 ohm coils that were recently released and I'm a big fan. They have them at Sweet Vapes at a decent price.

I haven't gotten into building yet. I've only been using the pre-built coils. I have been reading on it but that's as far as I've gone with it.

Ive never had a problem with the Atlantis v1. I use it on mechs though. I like the flavor from mine. Maybe lower wattage? Other than that maybe do some research on ohms law and battery safety and then get yourself a dripper and start building.

In my opinion nothing beats the flavor and vapor production of a well built dripper!

I've been doing a lot of research on dripping. I usually work 12 to 16 hrs a day so I've just been sticking with the pre-built coils because of lack of free time.

I hear that. Im gonna guess chef? Thats what i do and i know all about 12-16 hours a day. Rebuilds are fun and totally worth the time. When i first started i was taking about an hour to wrap and install. Now i can slap on a dual coils setup in about 15 minutes, and i wrap my coils by hand on a 1/16 drill bit.

I'd like to be a chef but I can hardly cook, thank God for my woman and her good cooking. I work for Bridgestone as a mechanic. From what I've seen its not terribly expensive to get into building. It's more about the learning curve.

Learning curve it is. It does take a while, but once you get a good build for a particular atty and juice, it's easy to repeat. And 10 bucks worth of wire and a bag of drugstore organic cotton balls will keep you in coils for years, once you've absorbed the costs of the tools.

I recently got the Tobeco Sub Tank and I'm blown away by the flavor with the stock coils. But you have to be a lung hitter, because it gurgles and leaks with mtl! I think it came with a 0.2 and 0.5, and the 0.5 is incredibly good. I just wish there was an RBA option - I did try the anyvape RBA from the Atantis 2, but so far it leaks (could be my wicking). It's also a very inexpensive tank - I paid 19.99.

So from what I understand, I need to get into building to maximize my flavor and vapor. What is a good RTA to start with? I would like to stick with a tank type so I don't have to worry about dripping at work.

No, you don't have to but you definitely should because building your own will allow you to fine tune your vape exactly the way you want it and will save you big $$ over the long haul.

Plenty of prebuilt heads available that provide outstanding flavor and vapor , problem is a new and always better version hit the market weekly so everybody says something different as to what their personal favorite is.

I found a great link that may help, stay tuned need to hunt it down.

I am a lung hitter so that wouldn't be a problem. I will definitely have to check that out, especially for that price. I really hated to spend another 35 or 40 bucks just to be disappointed again.

It's worth a try at that price (Eciggity is where I got mine). I didn't buy any coils for it - I usually use an RBA option - but if I can't get this anyvape rba to work I'm going to have to give in!

Top fill is fabulous. Only big disadvantage (to me), is that I have to keep a small wrench (wrapped in electrical tape) handy to open the darn thing! It has to be very tight.

With the Atlantis 2 and the 0.5 ohm coil I didn't get any flavor until I went up to at least 40 watts . And with the 0.2 coil 70 watts...(these are the new V2 coils).

I think I'm gonna try out the tobeco sub tank. It sounds promising. I think I may get a dripper also to start practicing on building. Now I have an excuse to buy a bigger mod lol.
