Hello to all. I've had my eGo T kit for about a week and a half, and am wanting to maximize the performance of the tank system. One of my original atomizers died after 3 days but Ty at LF sent a replacement out immediately, it should be here Friday or Saturday. I'm getting a slight burnt taste from my remaining atty, and don't want to disassemble it for cleaning until I have another. I've run hot water through it as is, and that did help. I assume wicking issues to be the cause. I'm looking for responses from eGo T owners who have had a similar issue and have been able to solve it.
My proposed "fixes" based on previous ecf reading are:
Bulli Atomizer. reports of better wicking and an easier draw.
Johnson Creek smoke (PG) juice sampler. For better wicking. I've seen at least one report of this juice being too thin. This sounds great to me, since I've had no hint of leaking on my eGo T, so far.
If anyone has feedback on either, or, especially both of these together, I'd love to hear about it.
Alternative ways others have optimized this tank system are welcome, as well.

If you've got the money to spend, the Bulli has some great feedback, and since it's a rebuildable atomizer you'll never have to buy another one, just more wicks and wire, which you can get at numerous places.

Otherwise I'd suggest buying new glass fiber wick material and re-wicking. My experience with eGo tanks (which was not good on almost any level) was that the wicks they come with are crap and burn pretty easily.

I started having that problem with one of my atomizers. The solution was to put a couple drops of e-liquid in the battery end of the atomizer and blow gently but firmly until they'd entered. Then pop the cartridge back in, take a few long, slow no-button puffs to get wick wet, then try it from there. I have to do this every few tanks, but it takes all of thirty seconds, and usually solves my problem. If that doesn't do it, you can also look for some information on wick adjustment to make sure the wick is contacting the coil in the atty, but I don't pretend to be any sort of expert on that, so you should ask around.

Johnson Creek smoke (PG) juice sampler. For better wicking

Thinner juice is one option. Frankly, I use pretty thick juices and haven't had any wicking issues with it (I mix my own, normally 50% VG in the mix). One thing to try is give it a couple cold draws once in a while (hit it without activating the battery). This is probably the easiest thing you can do, assuming that works

Another thing you can try is to push the wick down a little lower in the atty spike. I wouldn't recommend trying this until you've got another atty on hand, though, just in case. If you push it too far it's a pain to get it back up, not to mention if you push it all the way out by accident. Something small like a jeweler's screwdriver or a toothpick should work fine. If you go this route, gently move it the smallest amount you possibly can and then give it a try for a while and see if your burnt hits go away

Thanks to all who replied. I tried drops on the battery end, and it worked, temporarily. Cold draws, as well. I didn't try adjusting the wick, because the sampler arrived in the mail.
I wanted to see what JC juice would do in a currently burnt tasting atty. After 4 hits, the burnt taste was gone, and hasn't returned! It has been 5 days+ and this noob is impressed. LOL.
I'm going to have to wait a little bit on the Bulli, but still plan on trying them. Does anyone know of a US vendor selling Bulli?
Thanks again.

Sorry to hear you attys flopped. I am using my Ego T with no probs(3 months now), it does take a while to get them to work properly. The first week or so, it didn't work well, but later it works like a charm. Make sure you don't vape the tanks dry, that will cause atty to taste burnt. Always change your tank when there is a drop left. Take a haul on the Ego and push the button a second after the vape and release a second before you end your vape. I have 20 tanks or so and around 9 attys. My original attys still work great. I bought a box of attys (5 in the box) from a vendor here for a great price and rotate them for different flavors. I clean them about once per month. I use the vodka rinse for them. No burn offs, I heard this sometimes cause the wicking to lose contact and make a poor vape.
My experience didn't have any flooding at all and I found that the Ego Ts need a week or so for break in period. JMHO.
Cheers, Bill

IMHO, Ego-T Type B (I've never tried Type A) has a gross plastic aftertaste. It's not the atty adjustment or lack of wicking, or anything, as there is no burning or metallic taste. It's just the nature of the beast

I think I am just spoiled by the clean, pure flavor I get from direct dripping. I got my tank kit last week, and now I am back to my old trusty Ego with 510 atty and Super-T stainless steel drip tip. Yes, it's a bit of a pain, especially when driving, but the flavor is worth it!

Give it time. I have the type A, so Maybe the B needs even more time to "break in". ?? Also never vape the tanks dry/I use the black tanks with the window.
