I have been searching around this site for some time and wanted to revive an old thread to help me better understand the risk involved with oral tobacco's. Though, I am new and can not post to the topic so I thought I would ask here.

This thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...why-snus-considered-safer-than-dipping-2.html

The biggest reply for me is "American dip has been improved greatly. Oral tobacco in general doesn't have much of a risk of anything."

I don't mind snus but I like the flavor of dip much more. I think I might be one of the few who actually enjoys spitting but that might just be me.

What are the real concerns with adding dipping now and again to a vape rotation and not daily/full time use. What brands show to have the lowest TSNA levels?

I just would like to get some honest feedback and opinions on the subject since vaping doesn't give you the complete WTA relaxed feeling even though I have been smoke free for a few months now and only vape.

Thanks in advance for any comments!

Welcome to ECF Cyris.

The risk involved with oral tobaccos such as Skoal or Copenhagen, is gum, lip, tongue, and throat cancer.

I can't really speak to the Snu's cause I've never used them and don't know what they are all about. Do you chew them? Or place them between the gum and lip or what? Are they like the Skoal Bandits, little pouches of dip?

If you are not getting the satisfaction you need from just vaping, perhaps it would help to up the nicotine strength a bit. I find that I need 24mg to do the job for me.

American snuff only claims to be greatly improved, none of the manufacturers are unwilling to even say what they've done or what's in it. Where snus has several studies that prove that snus doesn't cause and type of oral cancers or dental problems. American snuff is still fire cured and fermented which is what causes all the problems, snus has always been air cured and pasteurized which removes the stuff causes the problems.

@Bozzlite
Thanks :)
Yes they are similar to bandits/pouches, but they are not moist and you do not spit. Also on nic levels, I used to only use 36mg/ml I'm now down to 24mg's but it doesn't always do it for me. Also I just miss the tobacco taste of a good dip.

@BardicDruid
I've been watching some videos on the subject and the Swedish scientists claim there is no risk, or at least none have been linked to snus usage. Since there is no vendor locally that sells authentic snus that I know of, what is an alternative?
