So I finally got my Orchid V6 in the mail today (huzzah!) It doesn't come with a manual or anything, which is slightly irritating. I had a couple of questions that I figured some of you fine folks here on ECF might be able to offer some advice on.

1. The hex screws in the bottom are for controlling the airflow, so can I just remove them for maximum airflow?

2. I tried doing a dual 24g micro coil setup at .6 ohms and that didn't really work out well. Very little vapor, lots of gurgling and tank leaking. I'm pretty sure it was due to the way I was wicking them or the fact I was using too low gauge of wire. Any recommendations to get the best out of this flavor chaser's tank?

Nice! Hard to beat an optimized Orchid.

By the way I wasn't suggesting that lower ohm builds will automatically give you more vapor. I just meant with all things the same for that problem build (your wire gauge, coil diameter, etc), maybe reducing by 2 or 3 windings would get your coils to heat up properly. Just sounded like a lot of steel blocking the vapor from exiting that little chimney.

People tend to way over-do the amount of cotton in the Orchid as if they were stuffing it into the well of a Kayfun or Lemo... it doesn't need it, nor is there room for it. It has no well, because it's not a Kayfun/Lemo. Those are a different animal, and need literally about 6x more cotton in order to make the juice travel upward about 4x further than an Orchid.

Update to this thread; I just build myself dual claptons with 26g A1 core and 32g A1 around. 6 wraps with 2.4 mm inner diameter. Takes a bit to ramp up, but my God, it's warm and throaty. Vaping some Fairy Pixie Dust by Mad Alchemist and I'm getting all the subtle notes of peach and strawberry. By far my favorite build on my Orchid.
