I guess what I'm asking is if there is any benefit to using a Orchid over a kayfun (bored out) if you only plan on using it for single coil builds.

I'm going to pretty much only run single coil to make the most of the small battery mah and be under the smaller amp limit of the 18350.

I have 2 kayfuns after a shipping mix up that worked out in my favor.
I bored them out so the air flow is the same as one of the holes of a orchid now.

For a single coil orchid am I going to have to plug up 2 of the juice channels and the 2nd air hole?
Could I leave the 2nd air hole open without it being useless or making the air flow to the coil worse?

Right now I'm thinking that since the kayfun is much easier to build and has a bigger juice capacity that It is probably the way to go.
The only thing that the orchid might have over it is airflow.

I would like some input from someone that has some experience with both if possible.

Thanks

I see no purpose for buying an Orchid if you are not going to take advantage of it's capabilities. Use what you have.

I have several Kayfuns and a Few Orchid Tanks. Both work excellent on 18350 mods.

Kayfun single coils around 1.35ohms
Orchid Dual coils at .53ohms
Both built with 28ga. Kanthal A1
