Is the atty brand new? Otherwise, be careful, if there is a burnt smell coming from it, it may be dry. If you keep firing it while its dry it will burn out. There is no video that I know of, these are just things people seem to learn as they use it. I know for me it was a lot of reading around ECF and trial and error.

Can you be more descriptive? Its leaking how? Is the tank's tip getting filled with juice? Is it leaking from the sides? Is it leaking from the top (at the threading to the battery)? Is it leaking with every tank you use or just 1 tank? Are you cleaning it out? Blowing it out? Are you priming it after you blow it out? Are you giving it time to wick?

Edit: Do you have a type A or B ego-t? The B is fat and round and the tanks hold 2ml. Type A is cone shaped and the tanks hold 1.1ml.

Ok, let me find my post one sec.

Edit: The ego-t is a bit tricky. You may have a bad atty but there are plenty of other reasons why ego-ts leak. I should say up front, I like my ego-t, but the leaking is a PIA. I posted this last week, it may help you:

Since then I've learned a few more things. When you blow out the atty, do it from the threaded (battery side). There are arguments for blowing from both sides. However, what convinced me was a post that explained how blowing from the tank end has the potential to push the wick out.

Cleaning the atty is something I did once late last week and my atty popped after about 4 pulls. I am in the camp that cleaning an atty is not worth it unless your only other option is throwing it out. I know many people do an vodka, or coke light or hot water or whatever cleaning routinely and say they never have problems. I did a laboratory distilled boiling water clean once, let it dry for 4 days, primed it with 3 drops of juice on the battery side, put in a full tank and let it wick for an hour and did a few cigar puffs before doing a real pull, and it died. So, for me, never again.

Edit 2: Also getting these: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...vention-caps-tank-cartridges.html#post3689271 made a big difference. My ego-t tanks had the hard cap and these are the soft silicone ones. Made a big difference in leaking.

thank you for your post. we did test and find that the soft silicone caps make a big difference in leaking.

Sorry if what I posted didn't help. Search around this forum, there are literally dozens (maybe hundreds) of threads dealing with the leaking issues with the ego-t. Maybe something in one of those threads will help. You can always try the wick mod.

Its not a worry free device, it requires maintenance and research on how to use problem free. The best part of using it as a starter device is now you have the best non-mod battery and it is compatible with almost every popular atty and carto. I like the ego-t, but I am going to try the 510-t (when my HC order arrives) which is supposed to be better at these issues and also provide better taste and TH. Right now, I am using my ego-t when I am out, as the tanks are extremely convenient. At home I am dripping on a locally bought LR306.

In 2 days, I will be using an ego booster, vapemate and a 306 or 510 atty at home. When the first of my HC orders arrives, I should be using dual and triple coil cartos. All this on ego batteries. Its a great starter battery even if you end up hating the ego-t atty/system (if you do the search I suggested, you will find many people hate the ego-t and many other like it, its very divisive :)).

I agree with you. some guys love ego t and some guys hate ego t. for those who hate ego t, i recommend them to use echo. Hardly leakage. :)
