Yeah.

New major software change is having some software issues - in the category of order processing. Often, your order will ship and you'll get it before it stops "processing." They're working on it. However, you can contact CS and ask them to check up on your order.

Also, damn the troubles of the USPS, they are closing many facilities right now and a major downsizing and a lot of things that took 2 days to get from point A to point B now take 3 to 5 days, which sucks for us who are spoiled by 2 day turnarounds. A lot of this will depend upon whether you have a major sorting facility nearby. I do, but even so, the mail now goes to PA before it turns around and heads back to CO from Ohio. And god forbid your mail has to go thru the "hole" in Florida - give me a few and I'll remember the little town's name where there seems to be a "forever" black hole for mail.

yes unfortunately it has been an intermittent issue... everyone is working Saturday and Sunday to catch up:(

While I am never pleased about waiting longer than I had anticipated for anything, I would like to say that when employees start giving up their "off" days to try to catch up at work, they really, really need to be appreciated. Within an amazingly short period of time, overtime pay doesn't make up for never getting enough downtime. So those of us who are able to, need to keep expressing to the SI staffers how appreciative we've been of the stellar CS they have provided in the past, and our conviction that they will get past this part and be able to shine again.
Yayyy, Smokeless Image! You've always taken very good care of me, and I'm sure this is just a phase.:)
(please, please, please be back up to speed in time for the next sale....):D

i remember back in the 70's i was layed off from my machine shop job,so i went to work for a place called sports magnets.
it was about one of the most boring jobs i have ever had.
i remember we had to fill the daily orders at a very fast pace and we would have to double check each other to make sure the order was filled right.
and we could not go home till every order was filled and shipped out the door via ups.
back in them days we did not have the fancy tracking systems they have today,we check and double checked and some one else would double check us,,if we we made many boo boos, get prepared to hit the door.

so i do understand what the SI employees have to go through,i lived it,so i know.

Ya. I've got OT comin' out my ears and am feeling very sympathetic. Probably because I'm getting too old to be working 6 full days a week, and have some of those be 12 hour days. On the bright side, oh wait--it's Sat and no end in sight; so, no bright side.

I did the OT thing from the day I started working at about 14. Some of them went on for days, literally, a hazard of working in security and then in IT. Had a bad problem once with email that started on a Friday afternoon and I ended up working until the following Monday afternoon, then a network change, major hardware and software, had me at work from Friday until Tuesday evening. Diner and restaurant food can get really boring after a while, trust me on that. Sometimes I think the money just ain't worth it all, in the end the company outsourced IT to "save money" and that was the end of my career in IT. On the other hand I appreciate the extra efforts that people go to and have never been afraid to work, no matter what it takes to get the job done. Did the shipping clerk thing for a while too where my Mom was a secretary at the time. I HAD to get it right the first time, she worked for the company President!
