Holy smokes, sorry for the lack of replies! I've been patiently (PATIENTLY) waiting for my order to get here and today it has arrived! All the posts in this thread really re-assured me that this was a very wise purchase, so thanks for all that. I haven't been able to use it yet as I am at work, but being me I had to crack open the box and take a peek. It's so beautiful  It also has a lot more weight than I thought it would, but feels like a solid brick sh** house in my hands. You can FEEL the quality and so far I'm extremely impressed.

Once I get home I'll be putting a Vivi Nova 2 on there, might upgrade the head to the 2.8ohm now that I can. Can't. Friggin. Wait.

Will definitely update the thread later tonight or by tomorrow... I'll be busy chain vaping this evening.

I got mine in on Tuesday - and lost my internet connection. :( But that just meant i was less distracted and spent a lovely couple of evenings playing with the Provari and finally getting a decent handle on dripping.

The thing is solid - too heavy for me to be lugging around if I'm going out, but it is great if I'm just kicking back on the couch while surfing the net, reading a book or watching a movie. The only thing that irks me right now is the menu system - I keep overshooting PU, so have to round robin, but I'm sure a bit more practice and I will be able to stop on a dime (or on the perfect voltage).

Overall, I'm really liking it a lot and see myself using it as my primary home PV.

I have been using a VV Gripper at home while waiting for the Provari, and although I love the form/size of the Gripper (I have small hands, so it fits like a dream), it burns hot and I've had a few nasty burned vapes. I've learned to start much lower on the voltage whereas the Provari hasn't given me any nasty surprises. I do prefer having the PU/PD buttons easily accessible as they are on the Gripper, rather than having to access the menu and scroll to PU, then adjust - but I'm still at the point of finding the "sweet spot" with different Ohm devices so I tend to fiddle with the voltage - but I've already noticed that I'm fiddling less as I gain more experience with the different atties/tanks.

Was this a good investment? Yes, I think so. More playing is required, but I can see myself being very happy with the Provari as my main PV and the Gripper as my back up and the Twists as my work/travel PVs. Now that I've settled down on PVs, I'm starting to look at all the atties and tanks available ... rebuildables seem to be calling to my inner geek. :)

Just wondering guys if i order a Provari only with ext cap and i'm in Canada, is there any duty or taxes when it gets here ????

I had mine shipped express and it was here in 4 days, not duty or taxes....usually I only get hit with that crap if I use UPS, Fed Ex or DHL.

Getting hit with duty can be a completely hit or miss thing. For me, it's pretty rare. I didn't get hit when mine crossed the border -- and I bought everything at the time -- ProVari, two batteries, extension cap, Noalox, etc. I can say that my package was marked with a value of something like $80 though so maybe it was just not marked as being worth enough to be worth the inspector's time to do the paperwork.
