I ordered a protank Mini II from CigVape in Angus, Ontario and They sent me this
IMG_4396.jpg
The one on the left is what I got, the one on the right is ACTUALLY a kanger protank 2
Different drip tip, (kankers is removable, and the CigVape is just one unit) different coil case (ie. the Kanger has one, the other just sits 1cm away from the battery....) and my favourite part; the new "protank" just burns my coils! I've change it twice and I can't get anything but nasty burn taste. I've flipped the rubber piece on the coil, dry burns, slow inhale off the battery, taking out a flavour wick, cleaning the coil, adding juice straight to the coil. Nada.

Called them today about an hour before close. No answer on the first call, but on the second I got someone....who told me they "jsut do orders" and would direct me to their boss who "might call me back tonight". If I don't get a call tomorrow I'm going to be pretty upset....although It could all just be an honest mistake! What should I do?

UPDATE:They called me this morning to explain the Kanger products weren't selling but they brought in this "clone". Apparently they usully work great but some are duds and have this problem so CigVape is going to reimburse me completely : ) They said if I wanted something else on their site they would pay my shipping and throw in an ejuice for an exchange. I love when things work out

Greetings, welcome to the forum.

I'm a little confused looking at the above picture, because the clearomizer on the right is an eGo-threaded device. The PT2 has 510 threading, like the device on the left. The PT Mini has eGo threading iirc.

Do either of your devices have Kanger markings? There are PT knock-offs kicking around, and it's important to know that you're getting the real thing (I have a theory that many alleged Pro Tank II leaking/flooding/dry hit/etc problems the fault of knock-offs sold as real Kanger devices).

Here's a picture of a genuine Kanger PT2: V2ProtankV2-2.jpg

Edit: Here's a link for a PT Mini, which looks a lot like the device on the right in your picture Replaceable Drip Tip KangerTech Mini ProTank-II/Protank-2 BCC

The device on the right in your picture looks a lot like the PT2 Mini shown in the preceding link. I'm not sure what the device is on the left in your picture; it doesn't have Kanger markings, and the drip tip looks different.

Call it a learning experience that a lot of us go thru as newcomers, fortunately it's a fairly inexpensive one.

Is it the Kanger PT2 Mini or the knock-off that's giving you grief?

-- Glenn

Yes, the one on the right is a real Kanger and has markings! The one on the left is definitely a "clone" as they called it on the phone to me today

Edit; There are some vendors in southern Ontario that do sell genuine Kanger products. There's lots of good feedback in the Canada subforum about top vendors in our area.

It's both, unfortunately. The PT2 has been leaking since I took it on a plane, assembled. If I were to fly with an ecig again I would take it apart first, I think something cracked under pressure, or something of the like. I used to have no problems with it, but now I have problems with flooding and leaking :(

The Knock off has been giving me a burnt taste and althought I tried replacing the coil and a couple other things, nothing worked. So CigVape is going to give me a replacement and pay for shipping and everything else :) I'll have bad headaches until the new tank gets here but I'm getting the Kanger T3S so it'll be worth it!

Sorry to hear about your negative experience, bad luck bringing that PT2 onto a plane.

Sooner or later you'll get sorted out with E-Cig hardware, and figure out what works best for you, and then you can look forward to largely trouble-free vaping.

One further word of warning about knock-offs, i believe the TS3 uses the same replacement heads as the PT2 and Mini, be sure to get genuine Kanger ones.

PT2 mini is an work threaded Kangertech product.

PT2 is a 510 threaded Kangertech product.

PT1 is a 510 threaded Kangertech product, and in your pic that is a knock off of between the PT1 and a PT2mini.

Glad u got it sorts OP.

Let's not forget Vapeing is way cheaper and much better then smoking. Hobby thing aside, lol.
