I'd approach this suggestion with care. I tried a vinegar soak once with a stock head and couldn't get the vinegar taste out of the wick no matter what I did.
I've done it with my Aspire BVC's and iClear 30 heads without issues. I also give them a run through the dishwasher after. The vinegar also works well on the bottom of the nautilus where it gunks up by the spring. It's the only thing I have found so far that takes the chocolate smell out of my nautilus from Halo's Shamrock and Belgian Cocoa.

Now see, you didn't mention the dishwasher part in your previous post. A dishwasher likely would have solved me problem.
