I've never used a Buzz, so I can't comment on that, but the ProVari is worth every penny, and every gnawed fingernail you give yourself while you're waiting.

And it may not be 3 weeks. They've been catching up, and the latest batch of orders that went out were just under 2 weeks. I think they've settled into a rhythm on ProVari production.

lol
this is the FIRST time I ever heard of the Buzz doing that.
I'm waiting for all the bugs to work out of the Provari because its still a bit early to even claim its better than the buzz.
The tech is still infantile

True about the Buzz. One of their parts failed and they got a different supplier.

I think all mods are experimental IMO. The market is constantly innovating.

I hope the Provari delivers on it's claims. You never know until you buy one and if it's good for a year it's money well spent.

I am no "tech geek", but the technology in the Provari is not "infantile." In its most simplistic form an e-cig in nothing more than a casing that holds a battery that discharges power from the same to an atomizer. All Provari has done is add a microprocessor to control power and tolerances, etc. to said device.

Microprocessors have been around for years and basically control every aspect of our lives today; they continue to get smaller and faster. Microprocessors control our homes, cars, nuclear power plants, etc. Heck, microprocessors allow us to send an ICBM (missile) 2000 plus miles and pinpoint it within several square feet. With the added microprocessor in the Provari, it's not really being ask to do much. It's not rocket science.

Provari didn't produce a new mouse trap; they advanced it to a new level.

The only question some may have is their attention to quality and detail, but I believe that has already been answered with their previous models.

That's why I ordered one last night!

I know nothing about their previous models. For me it's answered as soon as you pick one up. I'm very familiar with custom machined parts, and there were no shortcuts taken with this one. What I can see of the solder workmanship (I'm the solder trainer for the NASA soldering standard at my company) is solid, and no shortcuts taken there, either. The only thing I haven't examined is the microcontroller code they wrote to govern it, but I can't imagine they did everything they did with the hardware, then skimped on the software. All in all, I think this is a very solid unit that will last me as long as I need unless I commit some serious PV abuse. And then they'll repair it for me.

Well I have had many devices, mechanical and not, High voltage and Low, I also have had Variable Voltage mods... I have no issues with any of my purchases, and I am assuming I won't have any with this unit...

The MAIN selling points for this device (at least for me) are

1. the ability to quickly check the resistance of my atty (a big plus since an atty's resistance can change over time of use)
2. IMO the most important over any of the other feature is the voltage range you can get utilizing ONE SINGLE BATTERY!!!! I have alot of standard resistant atties (LRs too) and battery stacking for a lazy man like me is sometimes bothersome. Yes, putting two batteries in a device really isn't to hard, but keeping track of my battery pairs is sometimes a daunting task for me. (yes it is important to charge the same two batteries being used at the same time.. it's just proper battery procedure)....

anyway that's my thought on the matter, coming from an individual that doesn't have the device in hand yet :D

I have had two Buzz PVs and both started firing on their own while sitting on the counter. Not safe!

The Provari seems like it's light years ahead of the Buzz technology.

I can't wait until my three week waiting period is over.

and what did the manufacturer say when you advised them of this?

Wanna see how advanced it really is? Hide it from your wife 8)

She went absolutely beserk, and refused to vape any of the other 11 mods we have sitting around the house. Totally flipped completely out and tore the house to pieces.

Now thats some advanced engineering there to completely mind controll a wife.
