Well I pulled the trigger and ordered my V3. I couldn't resist this sexy beast any longer. Now I'm just hoping I don't have any switch issues like I did with my V2. :vapor:

I never had switch issues with V1 or V2 except for having to clean them more than I would have liked. That being said, I bought my V3 about a month ago. The switch is about as fool proof as you can get. I ordered a backup V3 the same day the V3 arived.

I think you are in for a nice surprise. The V3 is just awesome! I don't have any experience with V2 since this is my first PS device, all I know about it is what I've read, the good and the bad. When it comes to V3, there really isn't anything bad. It has worked flawlessly every single time! It looks awesome and it works great. From everything I've read, it seems that the only people that talk bad about the V3 are the ones who don't own it, lol. The only modification I would suggest making is getting the "medium" spring from Home Depot. Many V3 owners feel like the stock spring is not firm enough and the heavy spring is too firm. That's not a flaw but rather personal preference. The most important thing to remember: Noalox. Enjoy it and have fun!

I sold my Prodigy V1 and Protege, along with all the miscellaneous extra switches, took the proceeds and got a V3. I LOVE it! It's the best device I've ever owned. I really think you won't be disappointed. Very basic in design, not much can go wrong, no wires or soldering or sanding or voodoo. Very nice device that should last a long time, and it looks so pretty, too. If anyone was put off by other PS devices and afraid to try them again, I don't think you need to worry about this one. I'm very happy with it.

WOW! mine just came in today :)
I love this thing. Never vaped 6 volts before but wow!
Talk about a throat hit... and it's made like an army tank. Very nice indeed. The batteries only took about 45 minutes to charge... must have been precharged. I'm vaping away now... but not chain vaping because it'll knock your .... in the dirt.. haha
great job Pure Smoker.

does anyone have a pic and a part number of the medium spring???

I tried looking for them in 2 home depots and nothing. Was it modified( cut from a long spring)or did it come that short??? cus the ones I found was too big and too long. The ones I found that fit where too strong of a spring.

can anyone shine some light on this subject???
