Organic Cotton Yarn Completely Necessary? Wick question...

Getting into the vape groove after a while of meddling about. Now wrapping up solid 1.8ohm coils for my Protank II like coil building ninja. Tried some silica wicks and they were ok. Decided to make the switch to cotton yarn, so found a 100% cotton spool and built it. Vaped pretty good with no boiling, just a little "craft store" taste for the first few puffs. Started searching around, and realized everyone is really sold on organic cotton. Kind of worried about this now (not that it's a large investment, I'm just having some trouble finding the organic stuff in my neighbourhood). How is 100% cotton different from organic? I realize that organic is probably not grown with pesticides, but during post refining would it not get the same processing and bleaching to get it that pearly white, just like the regular grown stuff? There has to be someone out there that has a little knowledge here. I can't foresee much risk but you never know. Obviously going acrylic or polyester is going to cause some serious problems haha.

It's like when processors add Titanium Dioxide to Skim Milk and Cottage Cheese during processing to keep the products white for store shelves (these products are naturally greyish). Because it's in processing and not a finished product additive, they don't have to write it on ingredient labels. Same could be for organic cotton, no?

I made the switch from yarn to cotton balls last week. For me, I could taste a difference right away. Unfortunately, my taste buds are in the midst of changing and everything was sweet until this afternoon...now it's salt. Methinks my mouth has entered menopause.

I've read in another sub-forum that organic is supposed to hold more moisture. I don't know about that since I haven't done any tests. Some use organic because you don't need to boil it, regardless of opinions on the matter I boil it. :vapor:

I've found that boiling it really helps with flavor. I was using organic cotton balls but they are bleached with hydrogen peroxide. I'm not really worrier when it comes to that sort of thing, but boiling really helped with the flavor for me. Just my :2c:.
