Here are some photos of some more wood working that I have done in the past few days for Christmas Presents:

All of the lines in the trees, birds, dog, flowers and Old Man (a self portrait of me) are saw cuts made by a blade not much bigger than a human hair. :)

Thanks Lisa! :) I sure hope that the gifts bring smiles to the hearts of the intended people. They have taken a lot of hard work and time (up to 12 hours a day). But it's all worth it in the long run. :)

The basket weave box was actually quite easy to make. I would tell you, but I have been sworn to secrecy, so after I told you I would have to either kill you! ;) :) :D

I think my favorite is the one that I call a self portrait (the old man with the dog). :)

Your so talented and amazing! :) I love to see your posts!

Thank you keyzgirl! :) I have been blessed to have skills in quite a few different hobbies. :) I owe it partly to all of my old teachers that taught me how to Read. If you can Read, you can teach yourself virtually Anything!

Thank you Nana! :)
I have always enjoyed wood working as a hobby. :) My youngest Daughter still has the little Horse Rocking Chair that I built for her oldest daughter. :) (I made it for the oldest Grand daughter's First Christmas, 19 years ago! :) ) t has gone through every Grandchild (6 to be exact :) ) we have and quite a few of her Friends kids. The finish is a little worse for wear, but it's still in good enough shape to be used by Great Grandchildren that will come someday!

Those are awesome and priceless, especially since they come from the heart. I also dabble in making gift items for close friends and family. Folks ask if they can buy one but if you were to charge even $10.00 an hour, the price is too costly. To take anything less seems to discount the work and sincerity involved, so it's best if they are just gifts.

As well there is something deeper, more meaningful, as if you are giving them apart of you, a meeting of souls so to speak. It's hard to put into words....but I think you know what I mean.

Snow,
I know exactly what you mean! :) I'm not really into wood working or photography as a business. I'm in it because I enjoy it and I love sharing it, as well as giving a little glimpse of myself and what makes me tick. ;) :) :D
