OT-Do you get yourself a Christmas present?

For the past few years since I've been happily single, I try to get myself something I really want. I love buying my daughter and grandsons gifts too, presents are fun, giving and receiving.
Sometimes money is tight so I buy what I can afford, hate being in debt!
This year I've ordered a purse made out of recycled tires, I don't think that's too unusual is it?
So what are you getting for yourself if anything?

I usually don't get myself anything. at Christmas. I buy myself something with our tax return...this year, it is a kindle. The hubby will probably buy himself another ball bat or something sports related.

Well, technically I'm not getting myself anything. I desperately want to save for a down payment on a house though, so I guess you could say I'm getting myself a step closer to that goal! Sounds like a cop out, but I really do think of it as a gift to myself

If I could get myself a gift I would get a nice thermal coffee mug.I would get a big one like 16-20 oz without a handle.Im going to get one once we get squared away.Mine is falling apart and has water trapped in between the 2 layers and it looks kinda gross.LOL!

No gifts this year, budget has been stretched thin as all... thanks to Loki's surgery and house. Though wife and I consider Loki's new knee our xmas gift. Having him healthy is what truly matters....

I'm a gamer, so I usually buy myself a computer game, and then spend the week between Christmas and New Years staying up late after the kids are in bed to play. This year there isn't anything out that I just have to have, and I've blown a rather large amount of cash on vaping supplies recently
So yes, I am getting myself a present - Vaping and quitting smoking.

Well this year I hope that I will be getting myself a lavatube. Can't really afford a provari. Plus I've only been vaping for almost 3 months now. Oh and this year me and sister have decided to spoil my parents they are always buy us cool stuff. My mom is out of a job and has been in and out of the hospital. So it's there turn.

If I was single like the op ,heck yeah ,but no i would feel selfish about that,not the christmas spirit i was raised with .
I'd rather buy an extra gift for my son or hubby cause he works so darn hard .

I sneakily bought the present I wanted as a gift for my husband It's a fold-away jigsaw puzzle table with an assortment of unusual puzzles to work on through the new year Since we both love to start one and work on it by placing a piece or two whenever we walk by, it's something we both can share And, it has the added bonus of keeping my dining room table CLEAR of puzzle pieces

If I really bought something for myself, it would be e-books and video games But, since I bought Skyrim for my husband for our anniversary (and that game is NEVER going to end), that seems to take care of game needs for the foreseeable future

My wife and I don't buy really much at Christmas were kind of scrooge's plus on a tight budget so I just buy what I want when ever I want with in reason so every day is Christmas. And buy the way Miss Plantlvr dont go off the road with that purse you might lose control .

I usually do buy myself something I really want or like, as a gift to myself at this time of year. I don't wrap it or put it under the tree though.
This year I haven't gotten into it at all, haven't been in the shops much so haven't seen anything I want. This may change, of course...

I bought myself a 40" tv for the kitchen. It was a gift to myself for actually going out on black friday. I spend most of my time in the kitchen and always have to listen to the tv out in the living room. Now I can watch tv while I'm waiting for everything to finish cooking!

Dude, between Skyrim (Not high on the list) Batman (2nd highest and getting for christmas) And Assassins Creed Revelation's (1st on the list Own and LOVE) I am in AWE with how far games came this year! AC:R looks like you are there, batman looks AMAZING and Skyrim is beautiful. I am shocked you do not have any of those on must have.

This year... Well is the one year in YEARS I am semi looking forward to christmas... This time of the year makes me depressed more then usual, and I hate the holiday's. Thank god my gf is the same, and hates the holidays too... I am not one for going and buying people something that they will most likely hate.

oh well Krazie ....theres always gift cards in my house after so long together we do lists with suggestions because theres nothing we really need and we do enough on the list that were still surprised .Depressed ? try it when all of your loved ones have either passed or moved away ...at least you have your family and gf so enjoy it ! youre too young to hate christmas ! xo kiddo
