I just took this photo and got done editing it:

Looking_at_you.jpg

I took it this afternoon. I went out driving to see if I could get some duck, Swans or geese photos. Instead I found this little hawk eating on a Road killed raccoon. He was right on the side of a busy highway. I parked my truck and began to take photos of him. I managed to walk up to within 20 feet of him before he decided I had enough photos of him. This shot I took from a kneeling position, so I was right down on his level. :)

Richard, I'm glad you posted these because I've been meaning to ask you if you are part of the Cornell bird watching society? The one I am involved with is centered around bird feeders and what birds visit and when :) You should join...they would love to have their pictures for their next calendar :) I just received mine and thought immediately of you but could only remember landscapes and flowers you had photographed :)

Kanza,
I'm not a member of any bird watching societies yet. I just take my camera and lenses out and photograph anything that I see... be it flowers, bugs, people, animals or birds. :) Photos just present themselves to me and I jump at the chance to take them. :) Heck, I don't really know one bird from another except I know the difference between a Bald Eagle and a hummingbird. ;) :) :D
