I've got my eye on you!

I took the photo on 2/1/2012. He was about 60 feet up in a tree surrounded by hundreds of limbs, so I had to do a Major cropping to get rid of all the branches. I was also hand holding my 400 L on the side of a BUSY road to get the photo, so there was No Chance of using a Tripod.

Wow just amazing! I sure am glad the Bald Eagle is our National bird, the Wild Turkey just doesn't have the 'star' quality the eagle has

Thank you so much! My wife expressed an interest in learning photography and using a big Digital DSLR camera, so I have been taking her out on her days off so that I can get her comfortable with the camera settings, big lenses and photography.
She is having a Blast taking photos!
Yesterday we saw over 300 Bald Eagles and at least 150 Hawks, including a little Sparrow Hawk. My wife had my old Canon 40D with a 70-200 telephoto equipped with a 1.4X tele-converter to make the lens equal to 320 mm. She got this shot:

She still has a LOT to learn, but for a raw beginner she is doing Awesome!
