Don't mean to scare anyone but... this is just one of hundreds of online personal data sites. Before coming here I was active on a true crime forum and we worked on solving crimes using the internet. You wouldn't believe the information you can get on people online. It is very scary! While your trying to remove stuff they're updating your information through tracking your IP and such.

The only thing they had on me was the phone number and my address. The rest was pretty much made up. "Enjoys gardening." Who doesn't? "Donates to environmental causes." This is like your daily horoscope (they had my sign right). Grrrr... Then they had some unknown to me person as a member of the household (?), but they missed my children.

Disgusting nevertheless.

You can't stop them from posting this type of info. They will constantly be updating. Some of these places are amazing. I had a business about a decade ago were we needed a mailing list to send out catalogs and such. I found a place that was amazing. I sorted the list by using set criteria. Years in business, credit rating, how long their phone line had been in service, the amount of business they did a year etc etc etc. In the end we bulk shipped over 10,000 calalogs, credit apps, and pricing sheets. We continued to update weekly with sales by fax and e-mail. It worked amazingly well and I would be retired now if not for my business partner who decided not to pay the taxes for years. Oh well it was a blast and I made phat money for a while.

So please remember this info is out there on pretty much everyone. And these sites are the least of your worries. They are amatures compared with the big companies that sell information to corporations.

The one thing you really need to keep to yourself is your Social Security Number. If a crook gets ahold of that he can literally wipe you out. NEVER give out your SSN. In fact if a business asks for your SSN a big old red flag should go up.
