I'm using and enjoying an eGo-C Twist VV and a Vision Stardust Clearomizer right now. Although, when I boost the power on the VV, the juice starts to taste burnt.

I'm looking for other combination options to play around with. I don't mind trying carts or different batteries. My only condition is that it has to be a manual battery.

Ideally, something that will give me a bit more taste. I've read on the forum that that tank systems can mute the flavour? I wish there was more science to this. lol

Try a Fluxomizer clearomizer from Gotvapes. Get the 2.8-3ohm resistance. It doesn't mute the flavor and will handle the higher end of your voltage range without tasting burnt. Some juices just taste burnt at higher voltages (actually higher watts, or heat). If you use a higher resistance, you can use the higher range of voltage without the big jumps in heat every time you change your voltage by one increment.

The burnt taste is probably the wick of the Stardust. Personally I'm not a big fan of the startdust due to it's hit and miss wicking wich leads to such taste issues.

A good carto properly primed in or out of a tank will give excellent flavor. I personally prefer the convenience of a tank (less topping off / filling)and my juices taste great. Only thing better (but more hassle) imho would be straight dripping onto an atomizer.

For the Ego twist I'd recommend a 1.7 possibly up to a 2.5 ohm single coil carto. If you wanted it for tank use I'd suggest the same with 1-3 holes prepunched depending on how thick the juice you usually vape is.

This vendor offers a good variety and even specifies the number of holes punched (many don't). Pre Punched Replacement tank cartomizers

For the best flavor from the Twist I'd probably avoid the Dual Coil cartos unless they are very low resistance. Possibly something in the 1.25 - 1.5ohm range, but personally I like to stick with the single coil on devices with less power like this.

I put a 2ohm dual coil on my twist and it gives a pretty good hit, but the twist needs to be cranked to the max, also that's with a full fresh charge. Not sure how long the twist can output the kind of power needed. For comparison I put the same dual coil on my Provari set to 4.8v and it gives a better fuller more flavorful hit that I know will last the life of the charge.
