other vendor ads on your sub forum

Hey Rob, Dont know if this is normal but the first post of every page on every thread is followed by an ad for e-cigs and supplies from competitors. Is everyone seeing this? I could understand ads in the noob area but not in the individual vendor areas. Just a heads up.

Just noticed it today. It's happening in other vendor sub forums also.

Here is what I found so far in my research of this:
Wet your sticks.com is one of the vendors, another ads leads to modernvapor.com, but they are coming through this (I think) program?

I've been seeing them for a couple days but don't recall if it was in the supplier forums the entire time or not.

I assumed they were just ads that the forum owner had implemented because all of the ones I have seen so far are for Supporting Suppliers here on ECF.

As for some seeing them and others not, I also assumed it was one of those things like a lot of sites do where you see ads unless you subscribe.

If that is the case though then they should make sure that you aren't seeing ads for one supplier while in anothers sub-forum.

Are you a subscription member? You may be the only paying member commenting on this thread. A lot of web sites/forums display adds to nonpaying members and visitors as a form of revenue and block them for paying members.

As far as it being spyware etc. I am a non paying member and I am seeing it on a Linux machine. Not much malware that works for both Windows and Linux.

Under properties the ads are E-cigarette-forum redirects.

This has been going on for a while....

PM's , posts, the whole works.

It only has been happing since the new server/hoster was intact..
It may just be a bit until they have everything worked out,.

They have alot to do...lets give them some patience.

Well, I am not sure yet.
liscab may not see them, but he was able to post in the suppliers private forum

never is a member or non member able to access that page, but he was able to
do so and post.
Only a registered supplier has access.

this all has to do with a certain "title" or "status"

they just have to figure it out or fix it.....I am sure that is what they are trying to do
