Hey all, newb to vaping (technically haven't even started yet, just ridiculously interested since...3 hours ago when I found out about it). lol

Hi Erilaz...... and welcome to the nuthouse, lol..... There's a few of us in Ottawa & surrounding areas here, and I feel safe in saying that any one of us would be more than willing to help you along locally at any time your up to asking.

What area of Ottawa are you in ?? I'm in the Metcalfe/Edwards area myself and I'm always in the south end frequently should you be near enough to sample an e-cig or two, along with some different flavours of vape juices. Perhaps a Tim Hortons meet up ?? (I really need to start scoping out a meet site for us that has no issue with vaping in their establishments enuogh for a group meet).

That would be incredible. I'm west end, literally a block or two from the Bayshore Shopping centre. So from what I've read so far, vaping seems to come down to (excluding hardware preference, which is as individual as car preference lol) a difference in the juices, whether it be glycerin base, flavor, strength or quality. Is that seriously off base?

And the name is Wade, sorry, forgot that. lol

When I started vaping I had lots of questions...

Smokum (Greg) was good enough to meet me at Tim Hortons in Ottawa in Blossom Park to show me different type PV's and Liquids he had. He told me so much about vaping and the Do's and Donts when it comes to vaping, cleaning etc....

He even showed me a Joye eGo that he won here on ECF not even opened yet, So I bought it off him. I Love My eGo !!! and not to mention all the Liquids he gave me at NO COST.

I now consider Greg My Personal Vaping Guru

I also agree with Greg that we should scope out an area in Ottawa where we can Vape and show our Hardware etc...

ive found two places that have them but both require you to buy by the case or minimum orders of $100. smokum have you tried asking a pharmacy if they have some empty eye dropper bottles they can sell?

I asked about dropper bottles at Shopper's on Bank St. & Walmart Pharmacy on Bank St. (of course after looking in the isles), and unfortunately... they both were clueless as well as useless, lol....

I normally use Jack @ happy vaper and add a few packs of these onto an order now & again.... they are 6 ml dripper bottles for $2.99 (pack of 3): 6ml dripper bottle

hey guys let me tell you about Greg (smokum)
a few days ago I started looking into E smoke then googled around a bit and found this forum kept reading and the more I read the harder the choices get lol

then I PM Greg asking something because I saw in this thread that he helped another guy, he agreed to meet me and let me tell you that he is a great guy and answered all my questions and was generous with his time and his stuff, letting me try things and showed me how to fill up cartos and other things and got me started with all I need and I’m typing this right now as I’m vaping thanks to him.

While I was driving home I could not get over how great he is and how much time he spent with me and asked for nothing in return.

Greg, all I can say is thank you and wish there were more like you out there.

Awww.. you make me blush (ya right, lol) ! It was a pleasure meeting you as well and getting you started into vaping.

I hope gixxer is more successful than I in regards to finding an establishment willing to allow vaping and group meetings so we can have a decent ( and WARM !!) place to meet. I always seem to burn my bridges with owners/managers of potential places when I get abrupt negative reception with the idea of vaping there (ya, deep down I'm not THAT pleasant to deal with when I don't get my way with common sense or with arrogant "in your face" types not willing to listen to reason, lol).

Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long in finding a spot to meet during the winter months, because parking lot meets at this time of year are just nasty !!
