heh, thought it was time to de-lurk

since jan this year we (me and my better half) started vaping and spended a lot of money on all kinds of PV's. all had their con's and pro's but for us it wasn't quite it, so started to look for mods and in feb we orderd our first mini for my partner, a red/black one. didn't took me long to want one too, so in march we orderd our second, a black/silver one.

we never looked back on all the other stuff we have, nor did we shop around for something else, they are just great. we use them all day, every day.

i always had a voice in my head to buy us a backup, so finally we did last week and it arrived yesterday, a black/gold one. we love this colour setting both and we'r kinda fighting for it, for now i won, well, eventually he prop will be using it. :p

we both intend to stop the analogs completely, unfotunatly that didn't happen yet. this has nothing to do with the mod, but everything with the liquids. started a thread in the new members forum, got some good tips there, so am working on that to give it another go.

am so surpriced to be so excited by reciving our third mini, am as happy as a kid in a candy store, quess am a reo-addict

Congrats on all of your Mini purchases! Welcome to Reoville, you are both officially Reonauts!
And the purchase of multiples of REO's is just something that happens to most of us. Once you have one you never want to be without!

Stopping the cigs will come. The Mini makes it very easy to do. Make sure your nic level is enough so you feel satisfied with your vaping. That is the one thing some of us have done, is to try to limit our nic at first. It just does not work.

So glad you have you in the REO family!

thank you all so much for the warm welcome :D

@nerak: yes, and it looks like we'r not done buying more reo's, as we start to get interested in the wood ones too. yeh, i'll keep trying to stop the cigs. back then (bout 7 months ago) i figured out that 24mg was too high for me so i sticked with the 16mg, and now sorta by accident i experienced way less cravings with 18mg, so now am down to 2-4 cigs a day for the last 3 days. looks more of a mental thing now to let those last ones go.

@mlinky: back then, here in holland, the message was that VG was dangerous coz it could fall apart in something toxic when heated at it's boilingpoint, so many went fully PG to be on the save side. don't know if things have changed by now. haven't found any dutch reonauts yet, that would be cool.
have a pre-mix now from dekang that is being sold as 100% VG, but dunno if it's true. i'm doing good on it, however my parnter not, do i hope to find out by DIY and trial and error what it is that gives him those bloatings. on PG it's even worse then on VG, but he still has it. only not with ecopure he has no problems, after bout 7 months on only that he's quite done with it and almost fully back on the analogs :(

@robert: can't stay quite anymore of how happy we are with your work :D

@Rhapsodies Fire: yes, we will eventually succeed. when our first starter kid arrived i quitted imedeatly and had heavy withdraw symtoms, had great support from the dutch forum and managed to not smoke for 3 months, then stress game along and that has been always weak spot. taking my time for it now, and now am scared to let those last ones go :?:

Ya...I had a tough time with it too. Stress was keeping me from letting go of the cigarettes. For me I started at 12mg and it didn't curb my cravings at all...then I moved on to 24mg for about a month or two...it was too high. I could feel the burn in my mouth and didn't like it. I think that my mental dependence on smokes was really hard to break as they were the only thing I could depend on to help me through tough times. But all it took was a little discipline and pick up that mod everytime I had the urge to smoke. Since you've already been through this, you already know how awful the cigs felt and tasted once you get past the detox.

The thing that really got me later on was how addicted I seemed to have been ....to the other stuff in the smoke. Not everyone goes through withdrawals, but I certainly did. I'm still addicted to nicotine, but I'm so glad I was able to break away from the other chemicals. Just remember when you are ready, your Dutch forum is there for you ...as are we!

I don't use Dekang so I don't know what they're juices are like. I read about the scare regarding both PG & VG toxicity at high temperatures (like over 500F) and found more research that states atties & cartos don't heat the juice that much. If I remember correctly...the juice only gets to 110-120F. I could be wrong...but its what I remember. I have been vaping 90-100% VG juices for over a year with no negative effects.

Keep us posted....and let us know if we can help.

ty washvap, am thinking to go a bit higher on the nic, only my tongue is a bit in protest allready so i'll let it adjust a bit first :D

Rhapsodies Fire:
gosh... ye its basically pure a mental addiction, or maybe even a little wrong thing in the brain, had 2 more breaks from smoking, one for 4 years and one for 7 years, both cold turkey. one big stress moment and i want to smoke, no matter how sik it makes me feel. i just go and sit down, to make sure i don't fall over from dizzyness...basically the same as when i started smoking, i was 13 when i decided to start smoking at 14, and i did, and i did find it so horrible back then, still i was convinced i should be a smoker...hmm, maybe i should go in therapy

i must rectify: dekang (most establisched in china) makes VG liquids, as most of them do, and are sold on several webshops around here. however, the dutch webshop i got it from say its 100% VG. haven't seen anywhere else 100% VG from dekang, they say only it's a VG liquid, so the base will be 100% VG, dunno bout the rest what's in it. well, that's my logic.

ooh that's quite save then..yes must be, the atty will be way to hot to handle at that tempetures, and will be burnt and not be working anymore...i think

ooh, gave reo the 1st his first warm water bath today...think he kinda liked it :D

No problem, you should buy several small bottles to start out with in different lvl's of nic and PG/VG mixes. That way you'll be able to find your sweet spot without having to spend a whole lot.

As for the Dekang. I'm pretty sure it's going to be 100% VG since it's either one or the other when you buy their e-liquids. Personally only used 100%PG from them but, my usually prefer high PG mixes anyway (80/20, 70/30).

Glad you and your other half are enjoying the best pv's and welcome to the reo club :)

Hope you find the right juice to satisfy and keep you off the stinky sticks. Once you find an all day vape there is nothing better than filling up your mini and be set for the whole day. Honestly I don't know how I was able to make it for the first few months of vaping before I was lucky enough to score my first reo.

@washvap: yes, have 2 orders on the way with base liquids, flavors, small bottles and needles, 'really looking foreward to try things out :D ...may have to wait a bit tho, as i now have a cold, all liquids tasts the same, only methol is ok now...

oh thats good to know, i do enjoy those dekang VG liquids. i go for 100% VG coz PG increse the acid into my muscles, if i use it i feel like cycling uphill all the time. it's not that am allergic, it just a chronic thing that i have to begin with. my partner i still don't know what causes his reaction (bloating his stomage) so far only ecopure is ok for him, so i hope to find out with testing several self made mixes on him (starting with only the base liquid and work from there). if everything else fails, i hope i can make him some liquids with ecopure as a base.

ty lori, indeed! before the reo it wasn't an easy task to keep us vaping with a bit of enjoyment, was hours on end busy with the hardware and liquids to keep us going, was disrupting real life way too much. when the mini's arrived, the atty's were no longer cloging up all the time. they now last for weeks before the taste diminisch, witch is easy solved with a water boiling session every couple of months. only filling the bottle once or twice a day and keep the batts loaded, really was a turnaround and set life back in a good balance again.

edit: humpf...anyone happen to know why avatar isn't showing?

Sounds good and hope you feel better soon. I hate when I'm sick and vape menthol like a fiend LOL Anyways, that doesn't sound good. I've heard of quite a few people that have problems with PG. Some vendors make their e-liquids specifically for people who have issues with PG since they have the same problem themselves. Before you start mixing...I'm not sure if you know this or not already but, here's the DIY e-liquid link:

DIY e-liquid

There's a LOT of great info here along with people that have been making their own for a while. If you have any questions regarding mixing. Than there's a good amount of people there that would be more than willing to help out.

As for your avatar. You can click on settings on the upper left corner. Than you can choose "EDIT Avatar" on the left hand side of the page. Then click on "Use custom avatar" while choosing whatever pic you want. It should show up on the top. Also, check any of your recent threads and posts to see if it worked or not. Sometimes some pics won't show due to the size of it.

No problem at all. When I first started on forums I made the same mistake. Shoot, didn't even know how to post pics too. Anyways, just try out small batches of different mixes and see which ones work best. Personally, I wouldn't compromise since this will be effecting you and your partners health.

Well, hopefully you stay active here. Honestly, that's how I learned from this forum is to ask questions on posts or make my own threads. It's amazing how much great, knowledgeable people you can meet on the ECF.
