Outrageous after some adjustments

Took my new Odin for a spin yesterday and it vaped well. This morning I rewicked and adjusted the coils a little and whoa, now it's puttin out what I hoped for!

And that ain't steam from the coffee either!

No secret, just taking the advice of those before me. I likely had too much wick yesterday and I moved the coils closer and more direct in front of the airholes. It smoothed out the vape considerably and increased both flavor and vapor. As Russian might say "it's vaping like a rock star now"!

Edit lol, not vaping like a Russian would say, vaping like Russ would say haha. Gotta love my phones ridiculous auto correct.

Well, dual coils 28 guage kanthal, 6 wraps for a .5 ohm build, nothing fancy. It's pretty much my go to build for all my rdas.
One thing I noticed that I love is, I don't have to squonk every hit with the Odin. On the rm2, which I love, I squonked before every hit.
These are so very different from each other, but both vape excellent in their own way. I'm not sure if I really prefer one over the other just yet. The Odin definitely produces more vapor, but not insanely more. I do think it's a more dense, rich vape. Certainly a very satisfying lung full.

Thanks for the pic. I see now I need to move my coil closer to the AF. I was worried about the longer tails and possible hotspot.

Looks like the longer legs aren't causing any problems for you guys so a rebuild is in my future.

I really couldn't get it to match the flavor of my RM4 or DX but now I see what I am doing wrong.

No worries, Russ is a mutt mix of German, Italian, Irish and English.

All my Odins are built with 29 ga, 6 wrap 1/16 Id coils and damn do they produce.

Thick vapor - check
Warmth (not hot) - check
Wide open air holes - check
Lung hits only - check

I'm so far departed from how I was vaping 3 months ago that it's crazy. I like it.

The coils have to be in line with and as close as possible to the airholes.

The tilt on Rattler's coils is to help the RxW wick easily - i think i saw Rule 62 show one similar. If you use KGD or cotton then it matters none.
