So did anyone besides me have that "If I don't quit smoking I'm gonna kill myself" (lol, but true) feeling that served as their reason to switch from analogs to e cigs?
I'm a pack a day smoker, who started researching e cigs a couple months before the holidays last year after being introduced to one by my friend, she bought hers at a 7-11 or something, not the highest quality, and she paid out of the nose, but still it worked. My initial thought was "why bother" then I read and quickly discovered it was no bother at all, but rather a life saver. Anyway I started checking out a bunch of sites, reading whatever information I could find (my Primary Care Doctor actually suggested it to me as well) and honestly I got really excited about the idea of cutting the analog umbilical cord.
For Christmas I told my friends and family not to get me any "what they think I need or want" gifts, but to instead log on to one of the e-cigs sites (I gave them a list of my favorites lol) and get me a gift certificates (not all offered them), or just buy one of those prepaid visa/mastercard type dealios that I could use online. I know it sounds ultra tacky to tell someone what to get or not to get you for Christmas, but when I told them the reason they were all MORE than happy to oblige lol. My plan was to make the switch as my New Years resolution, but the New Year came and I still had a bit more research and comparison shopping to do. I finally got it all narrowed down and did my shopping online last night ......I think I got carried away (or is there such a thing lol)
After reading everything and talking to several people I narrowed my selection down to the 808 and 520 models, so I purchased multiples of both ( i think I got 7 batteries in total), bunches of atomizers, carts, all the charging gadgets and gizmos and juices up the ying yang. I purchased enough stuff to last gawd knows how long. I got confirmation this morning from all four vendors that my items had shipped and I'm about jumping out of my skin waiting for it to get here.
As I was sitting there recklessly clicking on more and more items to ad to my shopping cart I started thinking about my mother who's getting up there in age. She's been a smoker my whole life, and it's probably time for her to give something else a try too, so bunches of the stuff that I ordered I did so with her in mind. I'm flying out to visit her next month and will be on a mission to convert her from analogs to vapor and know if i pitch it just right I can more than sell her on the idea. We'd seen them at a mall kiosk during the holidays, but she wasn't moved by the "plain Janeness" of the white cig with the big yellow filter; she's a fashion diva and no matter how functional/practical and item is, if it can't tie into her outfit or look good in use she's not having it. I bought a couple of the Vapor Kings in her favorite colors, and plan to decorate one of them for her....she won't be able to resist the blinged batteries lol.
Im rambling now....
Anyway I just want to say thanks to all of you guys here who have posted a world of useful information for us newbies, it really helps to ease the transition and answers so many questions that have helped me personally from making more than a few non practical buy decisions. Thank You.
