Overwicking

I'm having an issue with my Ikarus V2.1 where if I tilt it to vape genny style the juice comes rushing down the SS mesh wick, doesn't flood or drip but the atty with a fully charged battery drops vapour production hard and just bubbles the juice up and vapour won't start normally again until I tilt it upright again, needless to say I "can" vape it in this fashion but would rather just do it genny style, full horizontal :)

oppa gennam style ope op op op oppa gennam style lol had to do it

:rickroll:

Appears to be overwicking and looking for suggestion to overcome this. Already tried closing off the "straw" and reducing airflow by closing the second wick hole but that doesn't help... It not too bad on a fully charged battery but as soon as it drops to 3.9 or so its pointless and need to change battery...

Thanks in advance!

maybe do a solid wick instead of a straw wick? There's a massive thread about it, and works quite well, though I do still have to tilt to vape. That or thread silica down the straw wick, just make sure you leave some up top so you can pull it out if you want while cleaning.

I have actually tried a hybrid, I rolled a straw wick, then rolled a smaller solid wick that would slide up to the base of the atty chamber then threaded a silica wick down the top of the straw wick, worked pretty well, but I just went back to the solid wick with its heat sink, but good performance.

also one more thing, if your atty has a fill hole screw, put that in, it might slow it down.
