Been vaping for less than 2 months and I already have 4 mods! A provari, an iTaste 134, MVP 2 and a Hammer clone..now I'm moving into rebuildables ..so I ordered 5 or 6 of them. In short, since I started vaping I'm always expecting something in the mail :) ..OK..I'm not sick..nor is this a new addiction that I'm getting into..it's a hobby and I just love it!! at home (and sometimes at work too) I enjoy staying up late after my wife and kids go to bed to tinker with my stuff..dry burning coils..washing my tanks and clearomizers..mixing flavors and trying them out..etc.

As I like to vape several ejuices in the same session, it is a hassle (also thread wear and tear) to keep unscrewing and screwing toppers to a single mod. I use a three finger leather cigar holder with three Innokin iTaste VVv3's, each with a Kanger Protank II mini topper. This also makes sharing easier, same as with cigars.

At home, I like to have Innokin MVPs with full-size Protank IIs at different places around the house so I don't have to carry them.

So for me, it's all about the convenience and luxury of multiple mods.

Can't speak for anyone else but when I first switched from smoking to vaping I went a little manic (crazy?) accumulating mods (usually clones) and trying all different kinds of toppers, just to see what works best for me. Now, finally, I have pretty much settled down. I gave the majority of the clones away. I have a varsity line-up of mods that I use all the time. Then I have a junior varsity of mods that I put away but keep in the unlikely event one of my star performers goes down.
Varsity: Provari, Silver Bullet, Natural
J/V: Innokin SVD, Maraxus clone, Nemesis clone, King clone.

Juice wise...various brands of some variety of menthol. Mt. Baker is my favorite.

Topper wise I have found that carto-tanks are great for home and when out, I use a protank. No use or time for drippers.

I have another question and don't want to start another thread. Are you not supposed to leave the mods in the car?

The reason I ask is I left mine in the car for a dr. apt. an hour later I came out, and it was like sucking on a straw on an almost empty cup...like the tank was flooded. I had to take my tank off and thoroughly clean it, all threads, and tubing before it was right again. I can see if it was really hot outside, but it was just warm enough to not need a jacket.

I don't think there is any sort of flaw with the tank, as I can leave the mod laying on its side overnight with no problems.

You should try to avoid leaving it in your car. Even on a mildly warm day the temp inside a car can jump by at least 10 degrees. That's enough to create a pressure differential in your tank and cause it to leak. The same thing happens if you change altitudes, like driving up a mountain. This really only applies to bottom coil, and possibly kayfun style atomizers.

Another reason to not leave them in the car is, batteries don't do well in high temps, and it gets hotter in the car than you think.

It's just personal preference. Personal desire. There is no actual NEED to have more than 1 mod, two if you insist on having both a VV and a mechanical mod. After that you're just buying multiple devices that all do the same thing. These are after all, nothing more than an adapter that allows you to attach your topper to a battery. A single piece of wire could do what mods do.

But, some people just like collecting things.
It's also nice to read reviews from people who don't normally write them to compare & contrast the different mods they have, so that people like me who haven't bought one yet can make a more informed decision.

I have an Itaste MPV1 whose 510 threads stripped (and has become my backup/portable charging box) and a Smoktek ACE that just arrived in the vapemail today. I also have an eGo passthrough for a backup and a few egos for the passthrough's backups.

You have to have a "deep bench" of backups unless you want to do without vaping.

Just an update. Everyone has been extremely helpful with my questions to the original post on here, and it is much appreciated.

I went to RoarVapor yet again today and got 2 more Anyvape Davide dual coil tanks...I like them much better than the 2 - $30 dual-coil KangerTech Aerotanks I picked up at a different shop yesterday. I went ahead and picked up a backup - a brand new sleek and stylish SMOK Telescopic ZMAX! Yes, it IS the exact same one I already have. I figure if something works why change it?

With all the hardware, accessories, and juice I have gotten I have yet to calculate the total that I have spent in the last week alone, but I know it is close to $400. I could have saved $60 by not deciding to get the Kanger tanks, but I'll just chalk this up to being new. That being said, I am down to 3-4 cigarettes a day, and with my new 18mg juice I got today I plan on trying to officially quit in the morning.

On a side note: While I have yet to place any online orders with RoarVapor, the guys at the shop really helped me out with getting started and setup. I got enough juice form them to last at least 4 months. If you happen to be looking for a good juice supplier I would highly recommend giving them a try.
