Got my first Precise about 4 days ago and wanted to post my impressions after a few days of use. I got a P+ 18650, two-tone, flat-top.

The Good:

Machining, A+ - I've owned many mechanical mods, and this is THE best machined device I have seen yet. Even my vaping engineer buddy at work (who fortunately doesn't suffer from my addiction to collecting expensive mods) said, "that's the best machined one you've had yet". The GG comes very very close, but I say the edge goes to Super T on this one!

Button, A+ - SOOOOO SMOOTH! And it fires every single time. Call me a weirdo, but I really enjoy the little 'nick' sound it makes every time I pick it up (when standing on-end)! I've owned a few mods with bottom buttons, and the P+ has the best of the bunch. Very ergonomic and easy to press.

Conductivity, A+ - with the rhodium plated contacts, the P+ hits better than any mechanical mod I currently own, AND I never have to worry about drop-off due to corroded contacts. I've done a side-by-side comparison with the P+ vs. GGTS, GG Stealth, Cube, Reo mini and even the Provari - the Precise just hits better! I've set the voltage output of all devices with a multimeter, and even though they are all putting out at the exact same voltage, the P+ hits better...I can't explain it, but it's true!

Weight, A+ - I love how it feels in the hand, not too heavy. In fact, it feels quite light in the hand. The GG stuff feels like a police baton in comparison. Don't get me wrong, I still love my GGTS, but since I recieved my P+, I haven't really used anything else.

Looks, A+ - elegant, sophisticated, simplistic...just simpy beautiful.

The Bad:

I don't like seeing my red IMR battery through the vent holes...this is a very small gripe, it just takes slightly away from the elegant look of the device.

Can't think of another bad thing!

My question:

I've decided after using the P+ pretty much exlcusively with my GG Penelope that I wished I would've ordered the slant top - I think it would just make for a sleeker look with Penelope on top. Can I order just a slant top cap to replace my flat top??

Kudos on making a great device! I've wanted a Precise for a very long time and I'm very glad I finally took the plunge!

I wonder if it would cause any problems to put black electrical tape around the battery where the vent holes are - I can't think of a reason why it would be bad, but I'm definitely not an expert. I do admit I like the way the AW ICR's look in the P+, but I prefer the performance of the AW IMR's usually.

Battteries won't fit useing any tape,Super dave's precise tubes are just right for the batts, you should know that vap.A black sharpie will take care of that red shining thru the vents.
Just color the bottom 1/4 of the battery black and the red disappears.

Congrats Yeti!,Dave don't call them the precise for nothin

Good to hear you are liking your new PrecisePlus Yeti and thank you so much for the feedback! On the battery, try a Black sharpie, though you can still see it, it helps.

On the Slant and Flat Caps, i did order some extras with this last batch and will have them up for sale in the future, maybe another week or two and i'll have them up (i need to get out the bulk of pending orders before i can get around to preparing them).

so a question for the op: the slotted top caps on the improved p+ do not allow enough airflow for the pre-punched smoktech flanged cartos? have you tried trimming them down with a pair of nail clippers? or does it appear to not make an electrical connection?
just some clarification on that comment would be cool. :)

OP here....

Ummm...what?? I think you may have posted in the wrong thread. :)

The New Slotted caps work just fine with the Smoketech flanged cartos and tanks that we have here.

David is a perfectionist and would say that the caps won't match perfectly, because they are finished at the same time as the body, I believe. I swap my slant top cap from my P+18350 to my P+18650 all the time (and vice versa with the 650's flat cap), and I can't really see the difference.

I'm really glad I picked up both an 18650 and an 18350, I like them both, although I think I've grown to like the compactness of the P+18350 more.

So, if I order a P+ 18350 with the satin caps, will they match, and fit on, my P+ 18650's satin body? If so, I'm in for an 18350, I'd have the best of both worlds then! Two devices, four different looks...nice.

They will fit perfectly, but the finish won't match perfectly as each batch of parts done will take on their own unique shade.

I did it with an 18350 and 18500 and it was only slightly noticeable, it was one of those things that only .... people would notice, or you might notice if you are looking for it. I actually sold my 18500 to my brother with my 18350 slant cap on it because I like the flat better, and he never noticed.
